Great drinks and atmosphere. Very friendly staff. My friend ordered the vegan pizza and didn't love it, but how great can vegan pizza be anyways. This was a fun way to spend a Friday night and half way through our meal a DJ started playing! I would definitely come pack the next time I'm in Vienna

Wirr in Neubau is one of the spots in Vienna that you need to know about. It's open from morning to late night serving up good food in a chill, friendly atmosphere. On some nights there are even cool concerts downstairs. I guess one can say, hanging at Wirr is like being with an old friend - it's just comfortable.
The food is well prepared and often creative. I especially like the Orientalisches Gröstl. - a flavorful combination but be aware that your lips and tongue will be yellow for a while after eating this tasty concoction. Don't order it if you are going for a job interview on the same day. If you want something a little more mainstream, try the Crispy Chicken Salad. A Villacher Zwickl or Märzen beer accompanies both dishes nicely.
Yeah, Wirr is def a good place to know about!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Camille G.Mions, France22643Mar 14, 2016
A very trendy place where you can eat a delicious veggie burger!
It's also great to have a drink just after a day at work.
Nice place to bring your friendsHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jonathan K.Vienna, Austria23128294May 16, 2016Updated review
Food is great as described before, but service is terrible. The guys that work here basically run back and forth and ignore most patrons.
Still a trendy place where hippies hang to get away from mainstream stuff. Is service too mainstream?Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Oct 12, 2015Previous reviewVery nice place for the hipster at heart without needing to be a hipster. Great food, which was a surprise. Awesome atmosphere, everyone has their space and comfort to not be judged or judge you. Drink options of all kinds, who doesn't like that?
I didn't try breakfast, but it could be great and I was not there for the evening drinks only time. Passing by in the summer, it does host a lively group though. - Andy F.London, United Kingdom257148467Oct 17, 2013
WIRR is a lot of things: afternoon cafe and lunch spot, evening bar, and late-night club. The best thing is that it does a great job in all of these roles.
As a cafe, they have an extensive drink menu with coffee and tea, beer, wine, and liquor, and even some microbrewed hipster colas (think Fritz Cola and Club Mate). There's a nice, fresh mittagsmenu to fill your belly.
As a bar, there's a chill atmosphere and some nice big tables and comfy chairs. The side room has a foosball table.
As a club (downstairs), they have some great DJs coupled with a fun, friendly, young crowd. Drinks are affordable.
No matter what time you show up at WIRR, you're guaranteed to have a great time!Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Alex K.Vienna, Austria361460Sep 30, 2016
Highly recommended :) Wirr offers a great menu for every taste. I especially enjoy their breakfast! The location is pretty nice, you can sit and enjoy your food and/or drink for hours. The service is friendly and polite. Their prices are a bit on the expensive side but considering the satisfaction, it's well worth it! If your way brings you to Neubaugasse/Burggasse be sure to pay Wirr a visit, you won't regret it ;)

I wanted to give Wirr another chance. I really did. Therefore I hosted a brunch here for the lovely ladies from ''Women of Vienna'' group. All of them (14 ladies) ordered one of their brunch menus and were very happy with the food. OK, that sounds cool! I was the only one who ordered something a la carte, - pancakes with maple syrup which is actually kind of my ''test-food''. First of all, they forgot about my order. All the other ladies got their food and started eating. I kindly reminded the waiter that I ordered pancakes and after a moment of having a very confused look on his face he started telling me that - yes, he hasn't forgotten, pancakes are coming. Ha, I think he DID forget because the pancakes what I got (after all the other ladies were already done with their food....) were a disaster. I think they must have panicked becase he forgot the order and tried to make my pancakes as fast as possible - the result was a catastrophe. I could barely finish half of my portion.

I went there to have a brunch and I was positively suprised about their alternative offers - so refreshing to see something like that after all the endless restaurants where they have traditional breakfast offers. But I was quite disappointed, the food was boring and Naan which came with my Oriental breakfast could be better; soooo not worth 8 euros! Also my friend was not too amazed by her "green morning" breakfast - it wasn't bad but it was nothing special either.
Sadly the two waiters were a bit overloaded with work since the place was full (and as far as I know, it mostly is!) so it took ages till people got their food, including us, sometimes they even forgot about an order.
However, drinks were very good. they have different types of coffee, tea and chai latte. My Latte was served in a funny kind of a cup-glass-goblet thing (like they usually use for drinking wine in Game of Thrones). I kinda got the impression that this place is better for having a few drinks and not for having a lunch. The interior also reminded me more of a bar. Maybe I just need to check the place out in the evening for a few drinks! - Allie L.Vienna, Austria5962Jul 31, 2016
Perfect for drinks with friends, but portions are small and expensive for food. Overall, a nice atmosphere and great location!

Cool little place with a good atmosphere.
Headed there for a few drinks on a Friday night and got a couple if seats by the window. Was lucky to get them, as soon after the place filled up pretty quickly. Friendly staff and a decent selection of beers and wine.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
