Last year, Erstwilder released one of their most coveted collections ever; the Erstwilder X Pete Cromer collection which sold out in record time and they pieces are still highly sought after today. It was a no-brainer for Erstwilder to come back this year with a brand new collaboration with the artistic master but release both another Aussie animal collection and a Christmas collection. I am beyond happy to report that much like last time, I was the main model for this collection but this time, I got to share the spotlight with my pinup bestie, Miss Vintage Orchid. Oh my goodness you are in for a treat!

Let’s start with some of my favourite new Aussie animal pieces. For those who are unaware, Pete Cromer is an Australian illustrator who is heavily inspired by all the wonderful creatures Australia plays home to. With his unique style, colour palette and the addition of geometric shapes, Pete Cromer is truely a treasure and a wonderful brooch designer. One of my new favourite pieces is this adorable echidna. Last years collection also had an echidna but this year, the design has a new colour palette and an adorable and open expression. This little darling also comes with matching earrings.

Another returned favourite is this cuddle koala set. Last years koala was having a little snooze but this year, they are wide awake and come in the larger and smaller brooch size as well as earrings and a necklace. There is plenty of koala love to go around and I just had to share this ‘mum and Bub’ brooch setting.

My next favourite piece is the new galah and probably one of my favourite real life creatures too; the pink and grey galah. Whenever I see these adorable little birds, they always sound like old ladies having a good gossip and they have a rather cheeky little expression. This galah brooch is so stunning and bright; it also comes with matching earrings and a gorgeous statement piece of a necklace. A new favourite piece!

Now let’s move onto the festive season and admire these cute robin collar clips. These are my first collar clips from Erstwilder and I have to say they absolutely nailed it! The chain is the perfect length for a cardigan or you know, a collar, and the robins themselves are super cute and charming. The robins also come in a brooch.

My new favourite festive brooch is this little pudding right here. Whilst living in Dublin, I sent my partner a Christmas shirt covered in little images of Christmas puddings. He loved it so much that he wears it all year round which brings me a lot of joy. Having this little brooch reminded me of that time which is probably why I love it so much. I am rather fond of his little expression and love that he comes with matching earrings and collar clips. I will definitely be wearing this little pud for upcoming festivities.

Lastly, I thought it was extra fitting to share the brooch version of the big man himself, Santa. I was surprised to realise that I don’t have many festive brooches so by now having this little Santa, I am excited for all the holiday fun there is yet to come. I really like Santa’s striped pants which give me a bit of a pirate vibe but I think he is a great little piece for those wanting some festive cheer.

To further complement this collection, Erstwilder has released a new set of essential earrings with only dangle designs. There is a wonderful mix of resin, patterns and shapes. I was rather fond of the cute trees and the tear drop shapes.

The Pete Cromer X Erstwilder collection is out now and if last year is any form of an indicator, if you have your eye on a piece, get in quick as items will sell out very fast. The Pete Cromer collection will always be soft spot for me; it was my first full solo collection to photograph, I have always admired Pete Cromer, and Australian Animals are something that should be shared and cherished. This collection brough about many of the same feelings but now with added joy when it comes to the festive season. Shooting this collection has gotten me very excited for upcoming festive blogs and I hope you love it as much as I have.
