SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Missions announced Tuesday that Luke Montz has been named manager for a second year.
Montz helped the club reach the playoffs and clinch the first half division title in 2023. The Missions finished the regular season with a 70-68 record.
“We are delighted to have Luke return as the Missions manager for the 2024 season,” said Missions president Burl Yarbrough.
Other returning staff include Jeff Andrews, David Bryan, and Garrett Kelly. New field staff include Yunir Garcia and former Missions catcher Miguel Del Castillo.
The 2024 Missions season begins on Friday, April 5 on the road against the Amarillo Sod Poodles. The home opener is scheduled for Tuesday, April 9.
