Paint the town with ‘de Blob 2’ this spring

PS3 and Xbox 360 owners who are not familiar with the wildly fun and entertaining “de Blob” franchise will have a chance to get in on the action this coming February with the release of “de Blob 2.”

Gamers will be presented with the task of reinvigorating Prisma City after the return of Comrade Black as they paint the town red (and a whole bunch of other colors) as de Blob.

Not only does the same gameplay that captivated gamers in the original “de Blob” game return in “de Blob 2,” but the development team at THQ have added an all new element to the hotly anticipated sequel, platforming.

In the franchise’s second installment, gamers will not only take over the outside of Prisma City’s landmarks, but they will also work through classic 2D platforming stages inside over 100 locations in the game.

de Blob will not be alone either, as the lead character will be joined by his pink robot sidekick, “Pinky,” as he takes on Comrade Black, the Raydians and Graydians, and the rest of the Inky army. Pinky will also play a major role in the game’s multiplayer modes.

“de Blob 2” is set to hit stores on February 25, 2011 and will be available for Wii, Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo DS.
