Bulgaren Schlösschen, opposite the back of the State Theatre in Coburg, is the neoclassical building of the palace from the 18th-Bürglaß Century, who was called up to the 1950s, Bulgarians or Augusten palace.

In 1794, after his return home, buy Prince Friedrich Josias of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld some land and erect leaves the castle in a small garden. Here lives the Imperial Field Marshal retired retired right, works on his – one would say today: memoirs. Friedrich Josias Europe is so well known in military circles and respected, that it succeeds in 1806, the city save them from pillage by French troops. The straight pull against the Prussians.

The retirement home of the Prince is decorated in classical style. On the upper side of the street Bürglaß resting on graceful columns impressive balcony. At the rear, to Josiah garden, guarded by two stone lions a short staircase. The first floor is the former, magnificent reception hall – now the wedding room.

Prince Friedrich Josias died in 1815. Later, Prince Augustus of Coburg-pulls Koháry with his wife Clementine of Orleans and his son Ferdinand here. Ferdinand of Coburg is Kohary Tsar of Bulgaria and returns back to his abdication in 1918 the castle. This results in the Coburg’s population, the name “Bulgarians-castle”. Ferdinand lived here until his death in 1948.

Since then, the city of Coburg is the owner of the building. The registry office here offers a stylish setting for weddings.
