ALEXANDRIA, VA — Taco Bamba will open a new location just outside Alexandria city limits.

The Landmark neighborhood will get a Taco Bamba location this fall at 6259 Little River Turnpike. This will be Taco Bamba's sixth location in Northern Virginia and seventh total. The announcement follows a June 4 opening in Rockville, Maryland. Other locations are in Vienna, Falls Church, Springfield, Fairfax and Arlington.

Chef Victor Albisu, the creator of Taco Bamba, has personal roots in the area.

"I haven’t been this excited about opening a Taco Bamba since we debuted our first location eight years ago this month," said Albisu. "I worked at my mother’s Latin market in Landmark while growing up in nearby Annandale where I graduated from high school. I got an early education in global cuisine between my mom’s store and the area’s delicious Italian, West African, Korean, and Middle Eastern restaurants. And I have fond memories of spots like Generous George’s, Starvin Marvin, and H I Ribsters. It’s a community that is close to my heart and I can’t wait for Taco Bamba to be a part of it."

The location's menu will feature traditional offerings at all Taco Bamba locations as well as Landmark-specific items. Albisu and his culinary team of Tom Hall, Faiz Ally and Greg Lucero will make a unique menu of tacos, tostadas, super tortas, and a Landmark-specific empanada. Tacos will be themed to recognize the area's diverse local restaurants and Albisu's favorite neighborhood restaurants that are now closed. The menu will be rounded out by beverage director Amin Seddiq's bar menu of classic and creative cocktails with an emphasis on agave spirits.
