Large cover (8½x11) with American flight cachet franked with three full White Plains souvenir sheets (630) plus four 5¢ Lexington-Concord & two 5¢ Beacon Airmails (519, C10), postmarked Lakehurst (Aug 7), Friedrichshafen (Aug 10) - no American flight cachet - and Tokyo (Aug 19); addressed to Rahway, N.J. and backstamped New York (Sep 8) and Rahway the next day; the condition is rough: there's a central file fold and the White Plains sheets have faults and missing selvage - there's even one stamp missing, but hey - it's three White Plains sheets!.

1929 (Aug 27), Round-the-World Flight, Los Angeles - Friedrichshafen (Sieger 29 B), 1¢ postal card uprated (on the back) with 40¢ postage including a 5¢ Parcel Post Due (JQ3) and a 1¢ Franklin with Roessler's "Graf Zeppelin" overprint (folded over the top of the card), all canceled by Los Angeles/Arc double ovals, 1¢ indicium canceled by n Aug 26 Los Angeles duplex handstamp; backstamped Friedrichshafen on Sep 4, Very Fine. Interestingly, the card was marked for carriage only as far as Lakehurst - and was overpaid by 11¢ - but went all the way to Friedrichshafen - and was underpaid by 49¢ with no penalty.

1929 (Aug 15, 23, 29), Round-the-World Flight, Friedrichshafen - Tokyo - Los Angeles - Lakehurst (Sieger 30/31/32), Zeppelin picture postcard franked with a a 1m Eagle (#C32) tied by the flight cachet with an Aug 15 onboard datestamp; in Tokyo, 1s (on the address side) & 4s stamps were added and canceled Aug 19 with a Aug 20 onboard datestamp; finally, at Los Angeles, a 5¢ Beacon (#C11) was added and canceled Aug 26; there is no Lakehurst receiver but the address side bears an Aug 28 onboard datestamp; the card bears no name or address, and that, combined with the regular postage rates paid on the last two legs, indicates that the card was probably carried by a crew member, Very Fine, and, no doubt, unique.

Aug. 26, 1929" double-circle arrival datestamp with magenta commemorative handstamp cachet, on picture postcard showing the LZ-127 Graf Zeppelin in flight, addressed to Hollywood and forwarded to "Carl Laemmle, Universal Pictures Corp, Hollywood" which was corrected to "Universal City California", red crayon, Very Fine, only 319 cards and 37 letters carried on this trip of the LZ 127.

The addressee was most likely Carl Laemmle Jr. (someone wrote "Jr." above "Carl").
