Prince Naseem Hamed is one of the finest fighters the UK has ever produced and now his son Aadam is eager to follow in his famous footsteps.

In the 1990s, Naz rose up through the ranks and became WBO featherweight world champion, holding the belt for an entertaining six-year spell.

His charismatic personality and flamboyant style saw him emerge as a household name in the UK.

He even cracked America with an iconic firefight against Kevin Kelley, but was ultimately humbled in his sole career defeat to Marco Antonio Barrera.

Following the Barrera bout, Naz boxed just once more before retiring at the relatively young age of 28.

This decision gave the Prince more time to focus on his family, including middle son Aadam.

Aadam Hamed, now 23, is set to turn professional after being described as a 'future star' by his proud father and will make his debut on the undercard of Oleksandr Usyk vs Daniel Dubois on August 26 in Poland.

He has posted clips to social media showing his talents before and is now truly emulating his dad.

Back in 2015, Naz previously said of his children: “My son, Aadam, I’ve told everybody, is going to win Wimbledon one day.

“My eldest, Sami, is 17. He’s going to be an actor, and my other son, Sulaiman, is the cutest.

“He’s the natural fighter. But I don’t want my kids to fight.

“Beyond the smile and humour, the flying carpets and all the razzmatazz, I wanted to knock someone out cold.

“If you ruffled those feathers, I really wanted to knock someone out. Why would I want a guy with that same intention standing opposite my son?”

Despite seemingly not wanting his children to follow in his footsteps years ago, it's clear things have changed since with all three now eyeing up boxing careers.
