This walk starts at the pleasure pier (in German "Seebrücke") of Bad Wendorf in Mecklenburg-Wester Pomerania ("Mecklenburg-Vorpommern") at the Baltic Sea in Germany. The pleasure pier is one of the few relicts that remind of the glorious time of Wendorf.

In the 19th and early 20th century, Wendorf was a glamorous seaside village. Later it became part of the Hanseatic City of Wismar. During the time of the German Democratic Republic, the communists transformed it to a dwelling area which is dominated by four-store buildings.

Then you pass the beach which is rather small but has a lot of playing facilities for children.

Then the path which is almost parallel to the coastline, leads through a small wood.

After leaving the wood you will soon see the first thatched roofs.

Hoben used to be a small fishing village. The whole village consists of beautiful thatched houses built in the 19th century. Of course, the whole village is listed for preservation.

Today, some of the houses are used as B&Bs.
