In the event of a sudden loss of power to the printer (power outage) and the printer has stopped in the middle of printing you will need to use the CR Holding Pin that came with the printer.
For using the CR Holding Pin, follow these steps:
1. Open the lid of the printer. (0:16)
2. Slowly move the carriage to the left. Stop at the position where the left side of the carriage reaches the end. (0:21)
3. Remove the carriage fixing pin (CR Holding Pin) from the storage position located inside the printer. The pin is stored short end first, so you will need to turn it at an angle to remove it. (0:37)
4. Take the pin and insert the short end first into the hole in the carriage arm. (0:47)
For storing the CR Holding Pin, follow these steps:
1. Once power has returned. Open the lid and remove the pin. (1:20)
2. Place the pin back into the storage compartment inside in the printer. (1:35)
3. Close the lid of the printer and power the printer back on. (1:42)
