Blackpink’s Rosé attended the Rimowa “Seit 1898” 125th anniversary exhibit debut in New York City on Thursday. The K-pop star wore a crystal-embellished ruched bodysuit with a high neckline from Alex Perry. She completed the look with a velvet miniskirt, sheer tights and black platform heels from Giuseppe Zanotti.
Rimowa, which is owned by luxury conglomerate LVMH Möet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, is celebrating its anniversary with an exhibition looking back on the cultural and technical forces that helped build the brand into what it is today. Titled “Seit 1898,” the exhibition began its tours in Tokyo in June and is now moving to New York. It will make its final stop in Cologne, Germany, the city where Rimowa began.
The exhibit features experimental artistic partnerships, rarely seen privately owned cases, collaborations with iconic brands, special purpose pieces and items that mark milestone advancements. The New York exhibit opened to the public on Friday and will remain open until Sept. 17 at Chelsea Factory, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST. Admission is free.
On Wednesday, WWD broke the exclusive news that Rosé, Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton and French soccer player Kylian Mbappé were the faces of Rimowa’s latest campaign. The ads were released Thursday across cinema, digital, outdoor and print, with short films that depict the three personalities packing, rolling and loading their Rimowa suitcases. Hans Zimmer, who won an Oscar in 2021 for composing the score to “Dune,” composed music for a film featuring all three.
In addition to her latest partnership with Rimowa, Rosé is a brand ambassador for another LVMH brand, Tiffany & Co. In January, the singer appeared in the ad campaign for the jewelry brand’s Lock collection.
