Publication of the Warsaw lodge of B'nai B'rith, the world's oldest Jewish service organization, published on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the foundation of Warsaw lodge. The book gives account of the objectives and activity of the organization over the decade between 1922 and 1932. Among others, it reports about the public response to the foundation of the association, its Palestinian mission, cultural and scientific activity. The book includes the photographic portraits of the presidents of the organization: the outstanding historian of Polish and Galician Jews, Majer Balaban (1877-1942), Mojzesz Schorr (1874-1941), Maurycy Endelman (1854-1939), Maurycy Mayzel (1872-1940/41), as well as of the Polish-Jewish scholar, the initiator of the foundation of the organization, Samuel Abraham Poznanski (1864-1921). The first Polish lodge of B'nai B'rith was founded in 1883 in Katowicze (then Kingdom of Prussia). With several hundred members, mainly representatives of the intellectual elite, B'nai B'rith in Poland organized medical and material help for Polish victims of the First World War and supported Hebrew schools. The organization supported the program of the Zionist Organization in Poland and the agricultural settlement in Palestine and conducted training for future emigrants. B'nai B'rith also sponsored Jewish artists. The organization was dissolved in 1938 by decree of the Polish President, Ignacy Moscicki (1867-1946) and was not restored until 2007. .
