Obviously the top point of the career of Pál Esterházy was the awarding of the title „Prince of the Holy Roman Empire” in 1687, the Order of the Golden Fleece had an extraordinary importance for him. He was very consious in the building of his career: Pál Esterházy tried to follow the career of his famous father, Miklós Esterházy (palatine of the Kingdom of Hungary, 1625–1645), moreover, he wanted to overcome it. So it is evident that the investigation of the process of awarding of the Order of the Golden Fleece can help us to understand the activity of Pál Esterházy who had a so important and particular role in the political and cultural representation. The sources that I examined in the archives of Madrid and Vienna of the Order of Golden Fleece, and the valuable documents which one are conserved in the Esterházy’s family archive in the National Archive of Hungary, give us a very special opportunity to explore the different steps of Pál Esterházy to be member of the Order, the process of the donation, the preparation of the inauguration ceremony, and we also can study in detail the same ceremony which was taken place in the St. Augustine's Church of Vienna. Through the statement of all of this, I also would like the answer the question, which importance had for the Hungarian aristocrats of awarding the Order of Golden Fleece. This article is a part of my investigation, which one I would like to summerize in detail the relations between the Order of Golden Fleece and the hungarian aristocracy in the 17th Century.

The Oriental Traveller and the Tonal Adventurer. New Information About Scelsi and Tosatti – Studies and editions from the last ten years make it possible to see the genesis of Scelsi’s works and his view of himself in a new light. As far as the writing of the music is concerned, the central figure is Vieri Tosatti, who produced most of the scores. Once it became clear that both the production of the tape recordings and that of the scores displayed a high degree of sometimes autonomous constructivity, the question remains of how it was possible for Tosatti, whose aesthetic views were very different from Scelsi’s, to produce such convincing and innovative results. Scelsi’s autobiography, published in German in 2013, offers insight not only into his life, but also his way of thinking. Of particular interest are his statements about his musical training, his attitude to contemporary music, concern about his works, his Christianity and the imaginary orient as a place of spiritual longing.

Kolchinsky E.I. Biology in Germany and Russia–USSR under conditions of socialpolitical crises of the first half of the XX century (between liberalism, communism and nationalsocialism). SPb.: NestorHistoria, 2006. 638 p. Historicalcomparative analysis of institutional, socialcultural and politicalideological factors of development of biology in Russia and Germany at the end of the XIX – the first half of the XX centuries. The work reveals the dynamics of interaction of science, power and society in the course of «proletarization», «aryanization», «nazification» and «militarization» of biology, investigates the evolution of the policy of ruling elites against biology, the struggle inside biological community, the reaction of different groups of scientists to the creation of «ideologically correct biology». It clears up the role of biology in modernization of the two countries, setting and functioning of totalitarian regimes there, and also traces the changes of value systems and traditions of the biological community, subjectmatter and discourse of biological research, their philosophical and ideologicalpolitical foundations. Results of the research contribute to clarifying mechanisms of selfmobilization, survival, functioning of science under conditions of global socialpolitical and economic crises.
