ABeam, ASteel and AColumn software updates

Anstar has developed dimensioning software for designing the load-bearing frames of buildings. The software applications are used to specify the resistance and utilisation rates of the frame connections with Anstar products. As a result of the development work, we have updated our ABeam, ASteel and AColumn software applications, releasing new versions to better meet today’s needs and challenges.

ABeam 4.9

  • Calculation of the beam’s lowest natural frequency has been added
  • Calculation of the beam’s coefficient of composite rigidity has been added

ASteel 1.5

  • Accident situation calculation for the base plate connection and bolts according to EN 1992-4 has been added
  • Calculation of a column in tension with all connections has been added
  • Skew bending strength calculation has been improved for asymmetrical structures
  • Calculation of a bolt damage situation has been enabled for all connections
  • Standard concrete strengths added for grouting materials
  • The stress/deformation state of grouting concrete is shown using 2D and 3D graphics

AColumn 4.0

  • A moment stiff beam-to-column connection and two different connection types have been added
  • New APK-CM beam shoes and new ALP-P2M and ALP-P2SM anchor bolts have been added
  • Rebar coupler products have been updated
  • Accident situation calculation for bolts and shoes according to EN 1992-4 has been added
  • Calculation of a bolt damage situation has been enabled for all connections
  • Commercially available grouts have been added to the grouting concrete types
  • Calculation of a concrete column in tension with all connection types has been added
  • Skew bending strength calculation has been improved for asymmetrical structures
  • The stress/deformation state of grouting concrete is shown using 2D and 3D graphics
