Fun and Interactive Gaming Experience
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was reluctant to get the PS VR but after many reviews and a little bit of gaming boredom, I decided to make the plunge. This bundle is a fantastic bundle! This is an actual controller. I would highly recommend you get the Geek Protection for 2 years. There are some moving parts and electronics that could potentially go bad. The game is actually a fun shooter. The multiplayer is really fun too. I have met a few good people. Don't have to deal with a giant group of people. It is you and one other person playing against AI. I have almost fallen over a couple times while playing. I was really getting into it. I would recommend getting in the habit of not moving your feet to look or move around the room. It's worth standing up to play it in my opinion but be careful! It is more immersive standing up. More games will accept this controller in the near future. Most notable, Doom VFR is compatible!

Excellent Game, Comfort & Controls
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THE AIM CONTROLLER I was very curious how the Aim controller worked, especially after seeing Far Point being a game where you actually move and not "warp" to get around. The way I see this peripheral is like merging the PS3 Move and Move Navigation Controller into one. The placement of the buttons (S, T, O, X)are located behind the controller, surrounding the rear joystick. They were easily accessible even while in the midst of an intense firefight. The front joystick is placed up front near the handles where your L1 and L2 buttons are lined up to act as secondary triggers. Overall, the button layout are placed nicely on the controller. The battery life on it is about as good as the PS4 controller and I think lasts longer than the PS3 Move(s), but don't quote me on that because I've had the Move set since it first came out. I was not so comfortable with the R1 and R2 buttons though, they may be rarely used depending on the game you are playing. Nonetheless, they can feel a bit awkward at first along with memorizing the digital pad location and then going back to your analog stick on the front handle. Overall, I like the controller and would rather play with this over the PS4 controller and Move controllers when it comes to VR FPS. The Aim really immerses you into holding your sniper rifle, cannon, railgun... whatever you are shooting! If there is a VR game is compatible with it, use it! FAR POINT Bundled together, I was excited to try this out (along with the Aim Controller) to see how the gameplay is. I was not disappointed really! Gameplay-wise, it was great. The button layout on moving around in the game really made me feel like I was walking. On my first try, I almost felt like I was going to fall over because it was my first VR game to actually WALK and not warp so that was a fun & funny experience. What I also liked about the controls was that I can motion the Aim upwards to switch weapons, which came in handy while in the midst of a intense swarm of bugs coming at me. To answer one of the important questions people may ask, no- the game does not give motion sickness, but I can only speak for myself on that part. My "bootcamp" VR adaptation came from playing EVE: Valkyrie, but I digress. The game has a good length of gameplay as well. I am not much of a "speed through" player, but one who likes to explore everything. To me, it is not a short nor lengthy game and the challenge mode gives it a nice replay value even if you're at the end game. Overall, this is a good FPS to pick up and try out your Aim controller on this game. Far Point has potential to provide more in game content if they were to ever make a sequel along with a deep storyline to boot.

The Real Deal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In many ways, Farpoint is the VR game I had been waiting for. A true first person shooter that puts the weapon literally in your hands, and at the same time allows you the same freedom of movement enjoyed with more conventional FPSs. The graphics in this game are near the top of what I have seen on the PSVR, the gameplay is smooth, and while the story is not the best I have ever seen, it is still engaging and will keep you interested in finding out what happened to the survivors you are trying to find. All in all, this is an absolute must buy if you have a PSVR and like FPSs. I have only played with the Playstation Aim controller, and see no reason at all to play without it, because the Aim really does complete the emergence factor when you can look down and see the weapon in the game universe literally in your hands, and even look down the sights when you are shooting at some crazy alien that jumps out at you. I played this with the PS4 Pro, and found that the movement was only slightly disorienting when turning side-to-side very quickly. The menus do give you ways to adjust this, however, so there should be settings that will work even for people who get motion sickness. Buy this game if you have a PSVR and a PS4 - you will not be sorry!

great vr experience, can't find it anywhere else
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An amazing vr experience, i did get motion sick when i first started playing, it took a while to get used to, before i stopped keeling over, about to puke. Once you get used to moving like you do in the game, it becomes very fun, i reccomend using click for the turn control in the game, smooth causes a huge vr brain to body disconnect and will result in extreme motion sickness, and the enemies try to scurry into your fov, so it isn't much of a problem. the gun can be used with other games as well, such as arizona sunshine, but it doesn't come in a bundle. At the moment, best buy is the only place to buy the bundle at its original price, all gamestops are sold out, and newegg and amazon offer it for a much higher price and you can't pick it up in stores from other places. Sadly, nobody uses the multiplayer and it took about ten minutes to find a single person to interact with, other vr headsets have more people playing if you want to play with other people and not alone or with ai. Overall, this is a great package and i highly recommend buying this product, if you have a psvr headset, if you don't i recommend buying a different headset such as the htc vive, i also recommend it if you have a good resistance to motion sickness, I also recommend not eating at least 30 minutes before using it.

What an experience to behold!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Basing my rating on pure fun and experience, it is definitely an excellent thing! So the AIM controller whilst playing feels really good, looking at it and hearing about how it works is a lot more strange than when it's in your grip. Moving is easy, turning is easy, you can even reverse the analogs. The buttons are placed well too and all accessible. In-game (Farpoint) it's very trippy! Even though you hold this pretty ugly and basic looking aim controller, inside the game you're holding different weapons, which actually feels very believable and also mind-blowing. The way the aiming mechanic works feels very good too. At first I was wondering how sights would work and such, with big goggles on your face, but when you actually play it, you'll understand! I think the thing about this and VR in general is that to truly get an idea or understanding, you've gotta experience for yourself. It's really hard to explain I find. Like when I was outside of the VR and also the AIM controller and looking at it, I couldn't fully understand how it worked or what the experience was like. But I'm glad I decided to take the jump! Onto the game itself, it has a space story that reminds me of Interstellar in a way. I think the neatest thing is the whole being there experience the story as if yourself is there, either through the character or just watching it. It's kind of like those movies/shows where someone goes back in time but cannot be seen but they're actually there, that's what it is like. Other times you are the head of the person in the cutscene, which helps make you experience it more personally, than just watching. It's a really neat thing and I can imagine movies and games cutscenes really being neat to live inside like this. The shooting is great and I think they did a good job! Especially since the tech is so young, I cannot wait to enjoy the future! I'll try to hold my tongue now and let you experience it for yourself. Final conclusion: Like shooting? Like FPS but always wanted to be the one shooting with the weapon rather than using a regular controller or keyboard and mouse? Then this is a great thing to try! It's sort of like those arcade guns, except now instead of a flat screen, you're in the screen, able to turn, look around, point and shoot!

Awesome VR Experience
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a really great experience if you own PSVR. The game looks pretty good overall on the PSVR hardware and it accomplishes moving freely around the environment really well with the Aim controller. The game itself wouldn't be that special outside of VR, but what it does in VR is very immersive and well worth experiencing. I think having the Aim controller is essential for this game and probably wouldn't recommend it without it unless you got it for a very low price.

Fun, Immersive, but not quite there yet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this as part of the PS VR experience to try and find out whether it's worth it. It includes the aim controller which feels nice and sturdy (not flimsy) and the game FarPoint. While playing it, I was first impressed with the graphics being in a virtual reality. However, after a while I noticed some issues with my controller drifting to either the left or right (having to constantly calibrate it). Also, there's no real way to "duck" for cover without pressing a button which I think is an oversight and takes away from the experience. Ultimately, the game play got repetitive (run, shoot, run) by the end of the game I just wanted to get it over with. I would recommend to try it but its not for everyone.

Best PSVR Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The AIM controller works great and is surprisingly accurate. Looks great playing on a PS4 Pro. Immersive experience worth the price of admission. Only drawback is start to feel motion sickness after an hour or so.

Q: QuestionSo is it that the aim controller is actually the white gun-looking peripheral plus an actual AIM controller... Or is it just a peripheral where you have to own an AIM controller to put in (like the old ps3 version)?
Asked by John.
- A:Answer The gun is everything you need. The move controller and directional joystick are built into it.

Q: QuestionDo you need to own the vr head set to be able to use the gun? Will it work with any shooter game, ex: Ghost Recon (any ps4 version)?
Asked by Diegin.
- A:Answer I’m pretty certain it only works with the Virtual Reality headset, and so far we have only tried it on the one game, Farpoint, though I think it may work with other games for the PS4 Virtual Reality headset.
