The first reports a one-off wiring failure in left-side NRSA(?) circuit; the second reports the driver's side-airbag firing (squib) circuit has twice, resistively or directly, shorted to 12V.

What year and month was your car built? I suspect you have a later M43 car.

Often these errors are due to corroded connectors. So when you f ind the connectors, remove the negative on the battery first, then wait 10min, then disconnect and clean the airbag connectors. You can use an old tooth brush and a cleaner called Deoxit 5%.
Attn. NEWBIES: Use the search feature, 98% has already been discussed.
Click the search button, select "search single content type", select the "e36 sub forum" specifically, try the "search titles" then try the "search entire posts".

MRSA is the crash impact sensor.

SA will stand for "Seite Auswirkung" aka Side Impact.

Hey guys thanks for your replies! So i couldnt find deoxit here in greece so i used a contact cleaner. It fixed the problem for a couple of days (no srs light!) but then i accidentally slammed the door and the airbag light went on again. I didnt have the time to reopen the door but isnt it strange? I think something must have disrupted the plug. Anyway when ill find some time ill check it again and report back.

while i was checking the fuse box i noticed the previous owner had put wrong fuses in some cases. One in particular instead of 5amps he put a 30amp fuse! I replaced about 10 fuses... Geez some people...
