Senior Vice President, Universal Talent Development & Inclusion

Brandon C. Williams is Senior Vice President, Universal Talent Development & Inclusion (UTD&I) for NBCUniversal Studio Group (NBCUSG). He and his team lead talent strategies for the studio’s workforce and film production crews. They focus on elevating the skills and capabilities of people, while fostering an inclusive work environment through talent management programming and partnerships.

Previously, Williams served as Vice President, Human Resources & Head of Talent Management for Universal Pictures. He led teams focused on developing and executing the workforce talent management and diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) strategies needed to achieve business priorities, while also providing opportunities for talent to grow within the organization. In this role, Williams spearheaded key initiatives including Level Up, Plus One Initiative, and Leadership Coaching.  Outside of his daily responsibilities, Williams was one of the key leaders in the creation of the studio’s Inclusion Committee in 2020, now Inclusion Council, and currently serves as the group’s Managing Director. Through this work, he and the Council have extended the company’s DEI efforts and partnerships, most notably with the Anti-Recidivism Coalition (ARC), tapping into the studio’s core strengths and resources to support justice system-impacted individuals.

Prior to joining NBCUniversal, Williams held strategic HR positions at Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) and spent two years residing in London leading SPE’s Talent Strategy and Diversity & Inclusion for the European region. He also served as a co-chair of a diversity committee for the UK’s Speaker of the House of Commons in partnership with Inclusive Employers – the UK’s first membership organization for businesses committed to DEI. In that capacity, he supported the organization’s mission of enabling employers to find solutions and drive change to ensure that diverse talent were attracted, recruited, retained and developed to fulfill their potential. Before Sony, he spent seven years at Turner Broadcasting providing HR & Talent Acquisition support for businesses in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as Cartoon Network in Burbank, California.

Because of the opportunities and support he received throughout his life, Williams is driven by his personal and professional passion for creating opportunities for others to reach their potential and cultivating inclusive environments. Since 2021, Williams has served on ARC’s Board of Directors, and he has also been recognized by 21st Century Leaders, a non-profit organization in Georgia, for his outstanding leadership in honor of the organization’s 30th Anniversary.

Williams received B.A. in Sociology from Morehouse College & MBA from University of Redlands. He grew up in Georgia and currently resides in Los Angeles.
