German composer Hans Zimmer is responsible for creating some of the most iconic movie scores of our lifetime: Fans of films like The Holiday, Inception, Interstellar, It's Complicated, Something's Gotta Give, and Driving Miss Daisy might not recognize his name, but they'll certainly recognize his work. A two-time Academy Award-winner (he's won Best Original Score for The Lion King and Dune), now has a new accolade under his belt: fiancé. Yesterday, June 15, 2023, Zimmer proposed to his longtime partner during a live performance in London.

According to Yahoo!, Zimmer was performing at the O2 Arena in London, England, when he paused and asked his partner to join him on stage near the end of the show. He reportedly began posing a series of questions: "Why did I bring you up here? I was going to ask you something really important. Did you lock the back door? Is the milk in the fridge? Do we have any sorbet in the freezer?" Eventually, he arrived at his real question, asking, "Will you marry me?"

USA Today shared a fan video of the special moment. At the beginning of the clip, Zimmer takes the hand of a woman dressed in what appears to be a white blazer, and introduced her to the audience before beginning his series of questions. "So, this is the woman I love, and apparently she loves me." In the video, his partner—who the Daily Mail reports is hotelier Dina De Luca—happily accepts his proposal and the entire audience breaks into a cheering applause. At the end of the video, Zimmer turns back to the audience and says, "Things are working out well! The back door's locked! Everything's good. I've got this one little number left. It's intimate in its insignificance but maybe not so insignificant and maybe I quite like it" He then invited De Luca back to the stage and says, "Dina, come play this song with me, come, come. Every time I play a wrong note, just bash me over the head."

Per USA Today, Zimmer's representative did confirm the proposal and engagement news, but they did not share any additional information about who the 65-year-old musician's partner is or confirm that it is, in fact, De Luca. This will be the iconic composer's third marriage, the outlet further notes. Zimmer was previously linked to model Vicki Carolin, with whom he shares one child, a daughter, Zoe, and to Suzanne Zimmer, with whom he shares four children, Brigette, Jake, and twins Annabell and Maxwell. He and Suzanne split in 2020.
