Prof. Reinhard Büchl celebrated his birthday on 25.09. his 75th birthday. For more than 50 years, Reinhard Büchl has developed the family business into a successful group with new ideas, innovative projects and foresight – always focusing on sustainability and environmental protection. Reason enough to highlight successful milestones: In 1987, he founded BÜCHL Entsorgungsberatung (today www.ELOGplan.com); 1993 saw the start of what is still a very successful cooperation between independent waste disposal companies (www.logex.de), in 1997 a pilot project was launched to collect and recycle organic waste in Ingolstadt (now part of the www.bioin-gmbh.de) and one year later the dismantling of car prototypes (today in the www.priorec.de). Since 1999/2000, BÜCHL HUNGARIA has been very successful as an industrial waste disposal company(www.buechl.hu). With the handover of the operational business to the 3rd generation, Reinhard Büchl set up the new Sustainability Institute from 2017(www.inas-institut.de) and continues to oversee strategic projects for the group to this day, such as digitalization(www.cleverwaste.de). Last but not least, Reinhard Büchl has also left his mark on the industry: as President of the Bavarian Waste Management Association, spokesman for the Bavarian Environmental Cluster, DIHK and VDI. Reinhard Büchl is closely associated with the TH Ingolstadt in research and teaching and continues to develop innovative ideas – also for the BÜCHL Group.
