Lance Onnen, 72, of San Diego passed away unexpectedly on July 30, 2019. Lance was born March 1st 1947 in San Diego, California to Herbert Onnen and Florence Ivy (Barrow) Onnen. He was a graduate of Crawford High School and did a tour of duty with the Army in Vietnam. He graduated from National University with a degree in business and worked as a buyer for Dixieline Lumber in El Cajon.
He loved the Padres, whether they won or lost, stamp collecting, reading, working in his garden, fantasy football, writing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (McCurdy Olson), his daughter, Elizabeth Onnen, step-children Rebecca Jane Logan (Larry), Kandyce Toth (Chuck), Kenneth Olson (Sue), sister, Diane Parent (Richard), one granddaughter, Amanda Kelly Navarro (Chris) and great grandchildren, Lily Navarro, Nicholas Logan Navarro and Noah Christian Navarro.
He truly had a heart of gold and will be missed.
