Robert “Rob” Walter Zuschlag, 37, of Attleboro, MA, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.  He was the beloved husband of Amy Louise (Matthews) Zuschlag, whom he married on November 11, 2011.

Born on July 13, 1984, in Waterbury, CT, Rob was the loving son of Walter J. Zuschlag II of St. Augustine, FL, and Norine (Monaco) Elliott of Attleboro, MA, and the dear stepson of Lina (Russo) Zuschlag and Douglas Elliott.

Raised and educated in Mendon, MA, he was a graduate of Nipmuc High School, Class of 2002, and received his Associate degree from MassBay Community College and his Bachelor’s degree from Bridgewater State University.

A resident of Attleboro since 2002, Rob was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church.

He worked for the past eleven years as a Supervisor for United Security in Boston, MA.

Rob was a man of many interests, talents, and accomplishments in his short life. Known for his profound dedication to his family, he treasured spending every moment he could with them, and was a truly remarkable father to his young son, Walter.

A man of boundless energy and spirit, he had a strong determination in life and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Rob was an avid reader who loved the outdoors and hiking; dogs; music; photography; carpentry – having built a treehouse for Walter; and writing, having published his own book and was in the midst of writing a second one.  He had a keen fashion sense; was a talented artist who enjoyed drawing; and was computer and electronic savvy.   Rob was very active with Autism Speaks and was a member of the NRA.

In addition to his wife, Amy, and his parents and stepparents, Rob leaves his cherished son, Walter J. Zuschlag III.  He was the beloved brother of Matthew E. Zuschlag and his wife, Suzanne A. (Amorin) Zuschlag, of Attleboro, MA; Mark L. Zuschlag and his wife, Jenny L. (Earle) Zuschlag of Attleboro, MA; Marc D. Elliott of Burrillville, RI; Shannon M. Osiro in Arizona; and Renee L.
