    Seitengewehr by George T. Wheeler (1999)

    Not often can I offer a review if such a reference for consumers, but I am pleased to be the first here to do so. Seitengewehr by George T. Wheeler (1999)is filled with excellent information on German bayonets from 1919-1945, so post WWI to the end of the Nazi era. Included in this fine reference you will find the history of bayonets such as Wiemar era, Mod 98/05, Mod 84/98, KS-98(dress bayonets), Police bayonets, Other rare bayonets such as D.R.P., Justice, Bahnschutz, Fire Service, RLB, H/J, Foreign bayonets used by Germany, scores of period bayonet frogs and even a chapter on Troddels (or knots). Wheeler also goes into the history of Solingen and the reader will also find several examples of period makers catalogs, advertising of bayonets of this period. This reference is really a ...
