1952 reprint of the fifth entry in The Blavatsky Papers, a series of early Theosophy pamphlets published by Canadian member of movement founder Helena Blavatsky’s inner circle, Alice Leighton Cleather, who founded the HPB Library. This issue, An Outline of Theosophy provides a brief history of the spiritual movement and its beliefs written by prominent Canadian Theosophist and member of Annie Besant’s Order of the Star of the East, WB Pease. Pease was a frequent contributor to the Hamilton, Ontario based movement publication The Canadian Theosophist and is remembered for his writings on Theosophy and related esoteric subjects including his analysis of Helena Blavatsky’s Secret Doctrine, An Outline To The Study of the Secret Doctrine, as well as his various anti-vivisectionist and pro-animal rights letters and publications.
