Twitch star Valkyrae agreed to host The Streamer Awards, with co-host QTCinderella without knowing this one vital information about the event. The 100 Thieves co-owner was seen visibly shocked when QT broke the news to her, live on the collaborative Baking Stream they were conducting at the time.

The Streamer Awards is established by the Twitch Streamer QTCinderella to award streamers and content creators for their efforts in the online entertainment scene. Qt started the show only a year ago and yet it has gained quite a reputation among the communities. As the size of the event has grown exponentially, QT had invited other influencers to host alongside her, including Valkyrae.

As the highly anticipated “The Streamer Awards” comes closer, QTCinderella shared information about the tickets for the event. Hearing this, the light bulbs turned on inside Val’s head as she realized she was about to host an in-person event instead of an online one. She jumped back a few steps as the realization hit her.

In the recent Baking stream where Valkyrae joined QTCinderella for a collaboration, QT pulled the earth below Val’s feet. While talking about the March 11 event, she notified the fans that if they want to visit the event, they should buy the tickets as soon as they can. It didn’t take long for Val to join the dots and understand that this year’s event won’t be very easy for her.

“That is so crazy that we just announced this, and I am just now hearing this for the first time,” said Valkyrae. To Rae’s surprise, compared to the last year, The Streamer Awards will be much bigger in size. Where there were only 150 people at the last event. This year the attendance size will be more than 1150.

300 streamers are invited to the event and will sit on a completely separate deck in the venue. And above them will be an upper deck with a sitting capacity of 1,000, which fans may buy the tickets to book. This will be a great chance for the fans to see their favorite streamers in a much more intimate setting.

While Valkyrae garners thousands of viewers on her streams, she is used to the closed environment and mostly one-sided interaction where she doesn’t have to look at the people who are watching her. But the live in-person event of The Streamer Awards will be a completely new frontier for her. “Holy shit. I can’t get out of this, man. No, it’s fine. … you fucked up. We are in this. We are going to be stressed together.” said Valkyrae.
