Pendant handmade with a lot of love and patience from a Japanese 100 yen silver coin - Asia, Japan 🇯🇵
(You can find more of our pendants made from different coins from around the world here:

The motif, the phoenix, was carefully handcrafted from the coin using a goldsmith's saw. The pendant was then completely deburred, polished and fitted with a 925 silver eyelet.
The phoenix is a bird shrouded in myths and legends that burns at the end of its life cycle to emerge from its ashes.
In many cultures, the phoenix symbolizes resurrection, immortality or regeneration. His existence is an eternal cycle that never ends.
The pendant has a diameter of approx. 2.3 cm and comes to you on a high-quality leather strap with an individually adjustable sliding clasp.
Here you are buying individual handicrafts made by me from (former) circulation coins. Each piece is unique.
All of our item images are examples that have already been manufactured.
The photos of the items may therefore differ slightly from the actual product that arrives to you. This is partly because every coin I use is unique.
I make all of the products in our shop from coins from a wide variety of origins. In most cases these are circulating coins or currency coins.
Circulation coins are coins that have traveled through many different hands and countries for years or decades and therefore have their own secret and unheard history. Which for me gives this jewelry more weight and individual value than an overpriced gold chain from the jewelry store next door ever could.
used material
Currency coins are made from a wide variety of metals. I use all but:
Aluminum (pure), nickel (pure), zinc, iron, steel, lead, wood and plastic coins. (Of course no shells, pearls, porcelain or leather coins ;) )
They are unsuitable due to excessive oxidation (tarnishing), low weight or health risks (e.g. lead or zinc).
Nevertheless: Allergy sufferers beware! If in doubt, please have yourself tested by a dermatologist before purchasing.
Tips for caring for and cleaning jewelry
Many people appreciate the natural patina that develops on coins or pieces of jewelry over the years. This often makes them appear more valuable or even antique.
Jewelry that is not made of platinum, gold, or stainless steel can develop this patina over time. If this happens at some point with one of your orders or jewelry from other sources, you can easily remedy it - if you want:
Place the pendant or similar in a bowl with warm water and organic dishwashing liquid. Now let the whole thing soak for a while (approx. 10 minutes). Then you can simply clean your jewelry with a soft toothbrush or something similar. Clean it, dry it and make it shine again with a soft cloth.
