Fritz Schimpf gelassenheit (relaxed purple)

Recommended Posts

Fritz Schimpf is a stationer in Tübingen, Germany, and this is one of their seven (as of this writing) house-branded inks, made by L'Artisan Pastellier.

gelassenheit (German for serenity or imperturbability) is a dark lilac. It is available in a 30ml bottle for 6.95€.

This is really nice purple, almost grape Koolaid. I could see using this for almost anything. In my New Improved Splatter (tm), I see gold sheen (might have to go back and re-splatter the ones I've already done).

Thanks for the review. I have been curious about Fritz-Schimpf inks since I discovered their website in my quest for a Montblanc 149 Calligraphy pen. I saw your previous post about your Pelikan 205 Petrol and I saw your haul of ink in the photo. I was glad to see that you posted reviews of some of the other ones, too.

As for this ink, I like it. I enjoy using dark purple ink. What paper are you using?

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

Thanks for another!  I like this one.  Possibly because I like grape juice and grape jelly... ;)

Please don't drink it though.

Lol 😆 what the hell!?!

As she told me a few days later, the dye in the ink is neither absorbed nor metabolized. Those weren't her exact words, though.

+1.

It is subdued for a purple, and works for me for all but the most formal correspondence. Most of the Fritz Schimpf inks are also fantastic shaders; this one is a bit more subdued for me in that sense as well.

This one is reminiscent of Diamine Grape but it looks a little more red. Thanks again!

And as it's made by L'Artisan Pastellier, it is probably better behaved than Grape!
