Wilder Valley #1

Wild Hearts

Rate this book
The day I left Wilder Valley, I swore I’d never return.
My dreams were too big for this small town, and I was determined to make it in LA, even if that meant leaving behind the man I loved.

Now I’m back, broken-hearted and publicly humiliated after a colossal breakup live-streamed to the masses. I have no career or money to show for my twenty-three years away. If I could hide out anywhere else on the planet, I would.

Instead, I resort to taking the only job in town. A nanny gig for my high school sweetheart.

Life didn’t go as planned for him either.

Ryan Wilder might be running his family ranch and looking like a tall glass of water while doing it, but he’s also drowning in responsibility, raising three children on his own, and dealing with the challenges of caring for his aging father.

We strike up a deal to help each other out. He offers me a place to stay along with a steady paycheck. In exchange I keep his teenagers out of trouble while figuring out my next step. Everything is perfect until those pesky little feelings from our youth come roaring back.

This time is different, though. We’ve experienced life and we know what we want. At least, I thought I did. All the dreams I had for myself existed outside of this town, but the more time I spend with Ryan and his family, the more I question everything. Including my wild heart.

Wild Hearts second chance, small town, steamy, later in life romance between a single dad in his forties and the one who got away!

I really enjoyed this! GIVE ME ALL THE SMALL TOWN COWBOYS, thank you.

This book had amazing tropes: small town, cowboy, single dad, nanny, second chance and I really enjoyed Ryan & Val’s story.

I did think they acted a tad immature for their 40’s but it really didn’t bother me much. I still enjoyed it!

4.5⭐ I like to give myself a little more leeway in ratings than the regular star ratings and I always round up. This was my first book, to my knowledge by Kacey Shea. I absolutely loved it! She hit so many of my favorite tropes with this book. Small Town, single parent, second chance and probably many more I can't think of offhand. I definitely will read more books by this author who adds quite a few unexpected twists and turns into the plot and great characters.

Wild Hearts by Kacey Shea is the cozy warm beauty of a small town romance, the angst of a second chance romance and heartwarming vibes of a single parent romance put together. And it is definitely a winning combination. The author knows how to bring feels in every page.

Val wanted to escape Wilder Valley and after high school graduation...she did it. Leaving behind her boyfriend Ryan Wilder and breaking both their hearts. Now almost 2 decades have passed and Val's life in LA has come crashing down. Her celebrity designer boyfriend cheated on her and kicked her out after ruining her reputation. So she is back to Wilder Valley. Ryan has been divorced recently and is struggling with 3 kids, his sick father and his farm.He offers the position of "nanny" to Val. Will old emotions resurface?

Val and Ryan meet again at a point when life has taken a lot from them. Val feels she is a failure. She is such a talented, hard working and brilliant woman but in LA, she was taken advantage of and then discarded like trash. But she has a lot of fight in her and she won't stop till she achieves her dream. Now the dream is slightly modified. Being back in town made her realise how much she missed the love and affection. Ryan is definitely a reason to re evaluate her future steps. Now who doesn't love a cowboy who loves and cares for his kids, family and everything to the level that his own life is exploding? I absolutely loved the swoony, charming and sometimes bossy personality of Ryan. The kids are amazing. My heart really aches for them. They are angry and lost and just wants a family. Ryan and Val are going to give it to them but not before they work out their own issues. Ryan has to trust Val enough to believe she won't leave again. Val has to trust Ryan enough to believe he won't break her heart. It was very emotional and sometimes sizzling hot. I loved every second of it.

Wild Hearts is an absolutely fantastic second-chance, small town, single-dad romance! There was just a perfect blend of everything that I love to see in a romance, and I fell hard for both Val and Ryan and couldn't put their story down!

Val and Ryan were high school sweethearts, but Val couldn't wait to leave town after graduation - and after an ugly fight, both of them were left brokenhearted. Fast forward 22 years, and Val finds herself back in Wilder Valley for the first time since she left......single, broke, and without a job. She never expected to find her way back home, nor did she ever think she would be offered a job as a nanny to her ex boyfriend's three kids, who your heart just broke for. Ryan was doing his best, trying to raise them after their mother left, but it wasn't until Val came into their lives that you could see a glimmer of hope that everything would turn out ok.

Even though I know that we all like to read romance to escape from our real lives, I love the actual realness to the story. It was just so beautifully written and I really loved these characters and how they navigated the challenges in life.

It was nice to find out too that Wild Hearts is the start of a new series, and I can't wait to see what comes next because I absolutely love this new world of hers!

This was such a refreshing romance!

Second chance, small country town, low angst, all around feel good read! Both of these main characters were older, Ryan being a single dad of 3 kids now, and Val returning to the town she needed to escape from after a disastrous breakup in the public eye.

I just absolutely "felt" this book. 5 star straight across for me!

**AUDIO review**
Holy Warren and Robert Hatchet were fantastic as Val and Ryan. One of the best audios I have listened to in a bit. This is now my favorite listen by author Kacey Shae!

Who doesn't love second-chance, single-dad, small-town romances. Ms. Shea delivers a wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable story of two people, Val and Ryan, who were high school sweethearts and went their separate ways only to find their way back to one another. Can twenty-two years apart change how the heart feels about the one that you truly loved? Their story was beautifully written and left you feeling all warm and happy.

Val could not wait to get out of Wider Valley the day she turned eighteen to pursue her dreams only to have them crushed by the man that she loved. Vowing never to return to Wilder Valley, she now has to swallow her pride and go back to the place she was dying to get out of. She is broke, jobless and feels like her family does not want her around. She knows that no matter what she does she cannot keep hidden from Ryan the boy she loved and broke his heart when she left. Little did she know his wife left him with three children and he is barely hanging on. He needs help and when it is suggested that Val be the nanny, or a cool friend helping out, they both agree that it might be a good idea. Boundaries were set, rules made and everything was set out right from the start. Well, all that did not last long. The pull that was happening between the two of them was too strong and things got hot. The chemistry that they had back in the day has gotten even stronger. Will the return of the ex cause any problems? Will feelings get caught up in the moment?

I truly loved this story. The characters were relatable, the storyline was gripping and I loved how Val and Ryan's children formed a bond that was impossible to break. I love the way that Ms. Shea tells a story and I look forward to the next book in this new series of hers. Grab Wild Hearts and enjoy a fantastic romance.

What a great story! I adore second chance romance, and when you add in a sexy single dad, I am completely hooked! Val and Ryan have been best friends and each others first loves. Val doesn't have the best home life and spends much of her time at Ryan's home. She can't wait for graduation so she can leave her unhappy home to follow her dreams. Unfortunately that means leaving Ryan behind to help run the family ranch, leaving them both brokenhearted. Now twenty two years later, Val is returning home after many successes, but escaping a scandal that she was falsely accused of. She is devastated and embarrassed, fearing what the people back home will think of her, especially Ryan. Ryan is now a single father of three and running the family ranch. He is struggling to be a good father and work. He is in desperate need of a nanny to help with the kids, and Val is in desperate need of a job. When they first see each other, the sparks come back to life. Val agrees to help for awhile, not sure how long she will stay in the small town she always wanted to escape. The more time Val and Ryan spend together, the more their old feelings resurface and their sizzling chemistry is impossible to ignore. They try to keep their passion a secret, since it is only temporary. But when she is welcomed by old friends and family, and her heart starts opening up to Ryan and his kids, she begins to see this small town, and Ryan, as the home she has always wanted. Ryan wants Val to stay, but when the women he loves always leave, he has a hard time risking his heart again. Val and Ryan's timing wasn't right the first time around, can they make it work the second time when they have so much heartbreak holding them back? I loved this sweet, heartfelt, and sizzling romance! Val and Ryan were so great together, their connection and chemistry was undeniable. I loved how protective and loving she became with the kids, even when she didn't think it was possible. Ryan really made me swoon with how much he loved his family, and worked hard to be a good dad, son and lover.
Narrators, Holly Warren, and Robert Hatchet were amazing as they brought this wonderful story to life. They nailed all the characters perfectly, making me feel all the complex emotions they went through, and made me laugh out loud, cry, and totally swoon. This was a fun, emotional and steamy romance that captured my heart.

This was a refreshing break from the books I have been reading lately. Val and Ryan getting their second change to rekindle their HS romance was nice. There was a little drama along the way but again it was nice to read a book out of my norm lately.

This goes along with the mantra that if you let it go and it comes back that it was meant to be, yeah, I know that is not the whole saying but I think you get the drift. Much has changed for both of them, but they learn to get back to what they shared. But throw in 3 more hearts you have to win over that makes things a little more complicated.

I sit here trying to write a review and start and stop a sentence many times but delete it as I don't want to give too much away. But I can say if you are looking for a journey to an HEA this is a great start. I now can't wait for the next one!

When the opportunity arose Val couldn’t leave her hometown fast enough even if it mean leaving her first love behind. Two decades later she believes she is living the life she has always wanted until it comes tumbling down and the only solution she can think of is to return to her hometown to regroup and try and pick up the pieces of her life.

Ryan is trying to balance managing his ranch, being a single father to his three children and being there for his own dad. He has mixed feelings about Val’s return however when she needs a job and he needs a nanny it seems like the perfect arrangement for both of them. The one thing they hadn’t counted on was that the chemistry and connection between them would be stronger than ever, but will this be their second chance or are they destined for heartbreak once again?

This is a heartwarming story about two people who were torn apart by their very different dreams for the future who realize what and who will truly make them happy in the present.

I never knew Kacey could write such an amazing cowboy romance. I absolutely loved Ryan and Val's story. I loved that it has a second chance and single dad tropes. The two of them are amazing characters and together they're even more. And I loved the relationship development between them. But what's even sweeter is Ryan's relationship with his kids and Val's with them. It's very sweet and heartwarming to watch. I can't wait for more of this kind of story from Kacey.

Sweet! Sassy! Suspenseful!

It took 20+ years for Ryan and Val to find their way back to each other. But between Val's sleazy and deceitful ex-boyfriend, Ryan's selfish and jealous ex-wife, and his father's medical challenges, they should probably turn around and run far, far away from each other!

This story has so many elements of truth in it. I loved Val and Ryan. Ryan is your typical single dad that is trying to hold it together and Val has been done dirty in the life she has been living and has to come back to a town she thought was never her home only to discover its beauty and her first love again. The kids were awesome along with the side characters. This was a great listen as the narrators did amazing with this great story.

I'm going to be honest. I almost didn't want to read this one after seeing the cover, cowboy romance isn't really my thing... but it just goes to show you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover because I really liked it!

When I finished it I emailed Kacey immediately and told her how refreshing it was to read a story where the FMC and MMC are in their 40's - the main characters, not the parents of the main characters. And just because they were "older" they weren't boring or mundane. Kacey wrote them as wonderful layered humans!

Ryan (MMC) has converted me to have a thing for ranch owners/cowboys. He's a single dad, who works hard (makes me think of the Reba McEntire song that's used in reels 🙊), has committed his life to his kids and accepted his life will be nothing more... UNTIL he sees her... AGAIN

That's right folks, second-chance romance with high school sweethearts! 💥

Val (FMC) has to return to her hometown because of her douche-bag ex. Last place she wants to be. Broke, depressed, embarrassed and living on her parents couch. The total opposite of where she saw herself

So the best thing in the world happens (don't worry, no spoilers, it's all in the blurb!) Ryan offers Val a job... to live in his house and "nanny" his kids - arghhhhhhhhh the best

Obviously if you'd read a few romance books you know where this is headed and let me tell you, you won't be disappointed!

Wild Hearts is the first in a series (bonus!) and one I can't wait to continue reading

Second chance love always prevails! Who couldn’t relate with Val as she returns home after an epically bad breakup, back to living with her parents and traversing the small town gossip, some of which concerns her first love Ryan and his own family woes.

The audiobook was pure perfection. Holly Warren and Robert Hatchet are perfectly in-sync with one another as the calmer Val to his fiery dad Ryan.

Fantastic Story & Listen🎧 Enthralling & Heartfelt!

Wild Hearts
By: Kacey Shea
Narrated by: Holly Warren, Robert Hatchet

Kacey Shea pens another winner of a novel, a wonderfully heartfelt, second chance, small town romance, one that will captivate your attention and tug on your heartstrings the entire book. The characters are realistic, easy to connect with and easy to care about. Valeria “Val” Brooks and Ryan Wilder were high school sweethearts, but it would never work out in the long run since his life was on his family’s ranch and she planned on leaving Wilder Valley behind to pursue an interior designing career in Los Angeles. It was a heartbreaking breakup for them, but her dream was too big for small town life and she left and never looked behind. Twenty-two years later, she loses it all and has no choice but to return to Wilder Valley and her childhood home. Her relationship was never the best with her father, who often lost himself in a bottle, so she was not expecting much from him, but her mom was receptive and welcomed her with open arms. Determined to get back on her feet again, she looks into getting a job, but the only one available was a nanny for Ryan Wilder’s three children. Ryan had dated soon after they broke up and wound up marrying her, though ranch life was not for her and she left him and their kids. Running a ranch and raising children is a bit much, and he needs a help with the children. Surprisingly, there is no animosity between them and they talk as if they were old friends, which there were back then, best friends, so when he offers her the job and she takes it. The children, Riley, Zach and Tess, have been a handful, and they already went thru several nannies. But Val was ready for their resistance and animosity but it never really came, Tess, the youngest, took to Val immediately and Riley, the angsty teen was ok with that. The chemistry between Val and Ryan never fizzled out after all those years and rekindling their relationship was inevitable. Both have changed over the years and life is more complicated for both, so are they falling for each other because of their past selves or because of who they are now? It was great to watch these two get to know each other again and navigate their lives. I loved how everything played out in this beautifully written and plotted story, there is a perfect balance of drama, charming and heartwarming moments, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Kacey Shea, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride. I am loving this “Wild” world you created and am looking forward to visiting Wilder Valley again soon.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Kacey Shea cast the perfect narrators to bring her characters and story to life. Holly Warren and Robert Hatchet are talented and versatile voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, gave each a voice that fit their character’s persona and were believable in every role they played. Holly Warren’s Val was fantastic, grasping all sides of her personality, Robert Hatchet did the same for Ryan, and both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters too, children and young adults included. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance, making you feel every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances this exceptional story to another level. Thank you for the fabulous listen.

Title: Wild Hearts
Author: Kacey Shea
Hero/Heroine: Ryan & Val
Tropes: Later in Life/Second Chance/Single Dad/Small Town

TW/CW: Death of a parent (off page), detailed mention of dementia, breakdown of a marriage,

THE GOOD 😀

Just take a look at all of those wonderful tropes contained within this book, I mean what’s not to love? Small town gets me every time, but second chance with a side of single dad? It’s like a trope buffet and I’ve gone up for seconds and thirds.
This story was wholesome (and also a little bit steamy) and I loved Ryan and Val’s relationship throughout. Having history that spanned back to when they were teenagers, it made their present day relationship so much more realistic as they already knew each other so well.
Val, having fled the town of Wilder Valley after graduating high school, finds herself back there twenty odd years later after an unfortunate (and very public) break up. Ryan, looking for someone to care for his children whilst he runs his family’s ranch, ends up offering Val a job as a nanny. Even after so many years apart, these two still had some pretty insane chemistry, and I loved seeing them lower their defences and learn to trust one another again.
As well as Ryan and Val, I loved Ryan’s three kids: Riley, Zach and Tess. They were moody, they rebelled and they never did their chores, and I loved it, it added depth to the story. The author portrayed a very realistic image of a family going through turmoil after the breakdown of a marriage, a I for one was here for it.
Overall, Wild Hearts was an incredibly enjoyable romance from Kacey Shea and I’m seriously looking forward to the next in the series.

THE BAD ☹️

⭐ 3.5

The story of Val and Ryan was good. As you know, the "second chance" trope can be hit or miss for me, but the author did a good job here because I liked it. The conflict they face is one often seen in high school relationships, and I appreciated that the characters were adults in their forties, getting a second chance at love. I'd say that individually, each character's story is well done, although Ryan didn't quite click with me entirely. The story flowed nicely, but I was left wanting to know more about how things ended with Val's awful ex.

Overall, it was a good story. Yes, I enjoyed the second chance theme; there are always authors who make me want to read them, and it seems this author is one of them and surprisingly, this is the first book I've read by her.

thanks to the author and the author agency for or a e-copy of this book 🫶🏻

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is a new author for me, and I really enjoyed her writing style. It is a second chance romance, in a small town with a very hot single dad who has three kids (2 are teens), a dad who is ill, and a ranch to run.

I liked that the characters in this story are on the older side. This series is about siblings who fall in love and are in the 40's.
The first book in the series centers on Ryan, who is single dad to a 17 year old daughter, 15 year old son and a 10 year old daughter. In addition he has a ranch to run, a father who is ill and he cannot seem to keep a nanny/babysitter.

Val left at 18 with big dreams and mostly she attained them, but she partnered with a man who cheated on her, had a reality tv series and humiliated and blacklisted her. She comes home broke, homeless and devastated and needs a job badly. Ryan is a single dad with too little time and too much to do and so he hires Val to be with his kids.

This is a second chance story and both characters were angry at each other at 18, he for leaving and her for him being upset she was leaving. Despite that when they see each other, they feel more like long lost friends and there is no anger on either side. In addition, as they get to know these adult versions of each other, they feel attracted and there is no aspect of a forbidden romance even though Ryan is her boss.

If you love second chance romances, then I thought this was a a wonderful second chance romance for older characters with a single dad and its more of them getting to know each other again as adults that form a really strong friendship that ends up having them falling in love with each other.

This is the first book in a new series and I really enjoyed it, it was an easy read and I loved the story between Val and Ryan, they were a couple in high school but Val always wanted a different career so she left and never came back. Now 22 years later she’s back in their hometown and thanks to her ex she doesn’t have much money so she starts working as a nanny for Ryan’s children.

Val was a great heroine, she lived a comfortable live in LA all those years but thanks to her ex she had to go back to her hometown where she never felt like she belonged. Her relationship with her parents was a bit stranded but she still knew when to ask for help. She was in desperate need of a job so Ryan offered her a place to stay in exchange of helping him with his children.

Ryan had a lot of responsibilities around their ranch and raising his 3 children on his own was getting difficult for him. Val started working for him and while at first it was a bit awkward, they started remembering the things they did when they were younger and living in the same place was the first step in getting closer together. They were both single now and it felt like their attraction never stopped those years, also they were both lonely and they had a lot of chemistry so it was a matter of time before their feelings came back. Their moments together were very steamy and they definitely tried to make up for all the time they were apart.

Ryan’s kids were hesitant to have a nanny but Val really did an amazing job, especially with Ryan’s oldest daughter. I loved how she started getting close to them and how they felt comfortable with her. At the end there was some drama between them but Ryan knew he couldn’t act like before so he told Val everything he felt so she would be aware of his feelings for her. She didn’t know what to do at first but at the end she knew she couldn’t leave like before and that her time with Ryan was the best part of her days.

I loved how everything worked out between them and how they got a second chance to be happy. The side characters were amazing too and I can’t wait to read the next books in this new series.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Having read Ms.Shea's work many times before i always look so forward to picking up more of her books! The synopsis for this one had my eye and i knew i had to read it next. I picked it up and got right into this story. I so enjoyed Wild Hearts!

Ryan and Val's journey captured my attention so quickly! Val and Ryan were high school sweethearts until Val decided to leave, causing them both heartbreak. Twenty three years later, Val is back in Wilder Valley. When Ryan hires her as a nanny for his kids, can they help each other out, ignore the past, and everything their hearts felt? I couldn't wait to find out!

I was so glad that i got to dig deeper with Ryan and Val. I really liked the way these two were brought back into each other's lives. Both Val and Ryan had been through things since the last time they laid eyes on each other and that brought a lot of realness to their story. I wasn't sure how they'd tackle being around one another, their history, and their feelings. I loved that i went through many emotions throughout!

It was great getting into the Wilder Valley world! I enjoyed what the other characters brought to the story as well!

With Wild Hearts, Ms.Shea has created such a good read that'll pull you in and make you feel so much! I can't wait to dive back into the Wilder Valley world with Aiden's book, Wild Mistake!

Ryan and Val are both at a point in life where they need someone's help. Ryan is struggling with his 3 children after his wife divorced him and left him to raise them pretty much alone. Val was betrayed in one of the worst ways possible leaving her with absolutely nothing. With no other choice she returns home to Wilder Valley, the small town she couldn’t get out of fast enough years ago.

Val and Ryan were high school sweethearts and when they see each other again after years apart Ryan offers Val a job to help with his kids while she gets back on her feet. The story of Val and Ryan finding their friendship and love for each other again after all these years was beautiful. The characters and story felt so real and relatable. It was truly a story of forgiveness, learning to trust again and second chances. Not only did Ryan and Val desperately need this second chance but so did Ryan’s children. Val had never wanted children but ended up being exactly what they needed.

On top of the beautiful story of hope and second chances in this book we can’t leave out the amazing chemistry. The spice and steamy scenes were absolutely perfect. This couple is older and the scenes were written to reflect that without any immature drama. It was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it.

I totally got hooked on this one right from the start. I loved Ryan Wilder 😊 And it took me a bit to like Valeria (Val) but in the end the whole story just totally hooked me.

Ryan and Val were high school sweethearts. But Val wanted more than living in a small town. She had dreams and she wanted it more than anything. So she left town, breaking not only her heart but Ryan’s. Now years later, Ryan was married and he has 3 beautiful kids. Val on the other hand was doing amazing, but then she caught her boyfriend cheating and she lost everything. Her house, her friends, and most importantly her job and she is blacklisted now too. So what else can she do, but go home… Broke and alone…

Until she gets a job from her ex being a nanny to his kids, but not before making sure that he knows she is not staying… Or is she…

Totally loved the story, loved the characters. I loved Ryan and Val together. Like I said Val in the beginning came across as running away from her problems, but in the end I couldn’t fault her for wanting to prove herself. I loved the three kids. Poor Ryan had his hands full with the teenagers 😊 Loved that everything wasn’t easy and they took a bit to find their footing, especially Riley gave them a run for their money. I cant wait to read the next one in this series 😊

This was a good read. The writing flowed well, and I liked Val and Ryan together for the most part. Val was annoying to me sometimes. She was being used by her bf of 10 years, had no money left to her name, and she was mad that she had to *gasp* go back to her hometown. Ryan was a good dad and son, and he had a lot of stuff on his plate. Val was the one that made sure that Ryan understood that she was just there temporarily, but when the drama started she was mad that he made her feel like the kids and decisions were all his. I'm not sure what she expected. Ryan did lose his temper when Riley got into trouble, but I felt like this was kind of blown out of proportion. Grounding a teenager for lying and sneaking out is not some over the top punishment. Val was projecting her feelings about her own dad onto Ryan. I did like that Val was great with the kids, and tried her best to be what they needed. She was also good with Ryan's dad, even when she didn't know what was going on. I was happy to see them both be able to work through their issues to make their way back to each other. This was the first for me from this author, but I will be reading her again.

A wonderful grown-up second chance, single dad romance and a cowboy as well, what more could you ever need? Oh yes, a mesmerising storyline as well, which Kacey Shea delivered in magnificent style.

I read any genre, but sometimes I want a slightly older couple (late 30's/early '40s), but they must have a really strong back story, showing how they have grown from their youth and Val and Ryan certainly have a wealth to share. This couple were high school sweethearts, but while Ryan wanted to stay in Wilder Valley, Val also wanted to leave as soon as she could and make a life for herself in the city, now 22-years-later, left betrayed and hurt by her boyfriend, Val makes' s her way back to the one place she never thought she would Wilder Valley and finds herself reconnecting with recently divorced Ryan and his three children, the chemistry is as strong as it was all those years ago, as Ryan and Val navigate this growing explosive relationship as adults they are faced with adult challenges, from Ryan's teenage oldest daughter to Val's ex and to the burning question will Val stay once and for all in Wilder Valley.

I am so pleased to have this author and can't wait for what is next.

Wild Hearts by Kacey Shea

This is first for me from this author but it surely won’t be the last. This was a great story of two people who truly love each other but are they willing to open up and give each other a second chance. Val left Ryan behind when they were 18, she left him heart broken promised to never look back or to return to their home town. But after her douche of a boyfriend drops her like yesterdays trash and makes her look like she is the bad guy she is left with no other choice but to return back home to Wilder Valley. Humiliated and desperate she accepts the only job available around town which is to be the nanny tot he three kids to non other than her ex the man who she left years ago Ryan. Now living together they have formed a new friendship and the old feeling that use to be there are resulting. But is Val willing to stay this time around? Well read the book and find out. I loved this book it was great loved the kids they were hilarious and super sweet. Highly recommend this book.

Wild Hearts is a second chance, high school sweethearts journey with all the steam! Val thought she knew what she wanted and left her life in Wilder Valley to make it in L.A. However, life has a way of throwing things at you to shake life up and Val gets hit with a few life punches and heads back home to the last place she wants to be. Small towns mean you will soon see people you want to avoid and that moment happens with her ex, Ryan. Ryan is trying his best to do whatever for his kids and run the ranch. But he needs help and the most unlikely thing happens. Val agrees to Ryan’s offer. Val is helping out with the house and the kids and Ryan can take a breath and focus on work and being there for the kids. But when an old flame is still there and starts to ignite again, it becomes harder and harder for these two to ignore and stay professional. I loved Val and Ryan. Ryan will have you swooning and want your own cowboy. Take a chance on Ryan and Val, their story will grab you by the heartstrings and then add in the banter, drama, and the adorable three kids, you’ll be hooked!
