Imelda Mary Misslich, age 95, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2014 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie.She was born in Franklin township on April 26, 1919, the daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Lins) Thering. She attended school at St. Luke's in Plain. On September 24, 1941 she was united in marriage to Anthony H. Misslich. The couple farmed at Keyesville, WI until 1977 at which time they retired and moved to Prairie du Sac. Anthony preceded her in death in 1988.


Imelda is survived by 4 children, Tony (Rosemary) Misslich of Sauk City, Betty (Jerry) Stibbe of Richland Center, Bob (Jane) Misslich of New Berlin, Mary Ann (Greg) Sarge of Fountain Hills, AZ ; 8 grandchildren, Brian (Laurie) Misslich, Shane (Gayle) Stibbe, Daniel (Rhonda) Ederer, Maria Lynn (Kevin Henry) Miller, Andrea (JR) Haseloff, Matthew (Angie) Misslich,Jeremy (Melissa) Sarge, Sarah (Steve) Broesch and Jeffrey (Jenny Li) Ederer; 9 great-grandchildren, Jason, Jacob and Kaitlin Misslich, Tyler and Katelyn Ederer, Breanna and Blake Stibbe, Henry Haseloff, and Emma Mae Misslich; a son in law, Carl Ederer:a brother, Raymond Thering; 3 sisters-in-law, LaVern Thering, Theresa Thering and Jane Thering; a special friend Sister Frances Hoffman, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to Sister Frances Hoffman of Companion Care of Catholic Charities, Madison.


In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rose Marie Ederer, a great-grandson, Drew William Misslich; 9 siblings, Lucille and Leonard Neuheisel, Lorraine and Mike Dischler, Clement Thering, Sister Rose Thering, Bernice and Alfred Liegel, Mary and Leroy Phillips, Paul and Virginia Thering, Albert Thering Jr., and Dr. Harlan Thering; two sisters-in-law, Shirley and Virginia Thering; and some nieces, nephews, and cousins.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Sauk City, at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2014 with Fr. John Blewett officiating. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. A visitation will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, from 5- 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, and also on Thursday from 10:30 a.m until 11:15 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimers Association.
