Adam Sandler Says His Teen Daughters "Still Don't Talk" to Him on Set

Comedy legend Adam Sandler obviously isn't a regular dad — he's a cool dad. But the star's daughters sometimes ignore their father in public, just like normal teens (who also occasionally walk the red carpet and star in his films).

At the premiere of his movie Spaceman, Sandler opened up about working with his daughters Sadie and Sunny (who even makes an appearance in the new Netflix flick), and he had the most hilarious (and relatable) response when asked if being on set together is a bonding father-daughter experience.

"They still don't talk to you. They go do their thing," he joked, per People. "They do the best they can, and then they go do their life."

"I am on the side going, 'Love you,'" he added. "I say I love you a lot to them."

Adam attended the premiere alongside his wife, Jackie, Sadie, and Sunny. For the event, Jackie (who also appears in some of her husband's films) chose a black column dress with a giant butterfly embroidered top, while Sunny opted for a cheetah-print strapless dress, and Sadie wore a black leather mini dress. Adam went in a totally different direction than his usual red carpet uniform (often sweatpants and sneakers) and wore a suit, tie, and dress shoes.

The sisters have starred alongside their dad in the hit movie You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, in addition to voicing two characters in his animated film Leo. Sunny plays Anna in Spaceman, which follows Adam's character, Jakub Prochazka, on a solo mission to Jupiter. Carey Mulligan also stars in the film as Jakub's wife Lenka.
