The "special train to Pankow" really did exist, even though it was not until 20 years later that it was roaring through the meanwhile borderless republic. On board were 450 guests, who were on October 3, 2003 in the colorful painted train from Berlin-Friedrichstrasse in the direction of Magdeburg to the central ceremony on the occasion of the Day of German Unity were traveling.
