Master Passage

The level of Shorthand Skill Test was for SSC Stenographer Grade C & D Examination, 2018 was easy compared to that of 2017. The dictations are on the pattern of Parliamentary Debates and matters related to Agriculture, Railways, Budget, President's Address, etc. Whereas in 2017 the pattern of Dictations was totally different and matters seems to be directly dictated from President's Speeches delivered in various Institutions or Countries. There were a lot of proper nouns due to which candidates found them very difficult to write but from my point of view if you a true student of Shorthand then it should not matter for you that from where the matters are being dictated.

Candidates are advised to practice different types of matters. They should not stick to Magazines of one writer only. The time has changed and the level of skill test is totally unexpected. The major issue candidates find is of proper nouns because sometimes names of famous and non-famous personalities come and in process of making those words candidates miss easy words or phrases which come after these proper nouns. I recommend skip those words if you are not able to make them immediately. You should generate this skill in you. At initial stage you should skip these words so that rest of your matter doesn't get affected because there will be maximum 15 proper nouns. Once to master this skill of skipping then start making short forms of those proper nouns and try to remember them. For example:- Ramesh Chandra can be written as RC and then try to remember it so that you won't skip this word.
