Celebrating Brad Foote Gearing's 100 years, today we honor Sergio Gamboa, VP of Sales! The journey started as far back as1998 when Sergio Gamboa was hired as the new production manager. With a relocation to the Chicago area under his belt, Sergio swiftly transitioned to material management, and then to plant management by 2006. The year 2010 marked a milestone for BFG, as they transformed from a pivotal US manufacturer of wind turbines gearing to a more diversified industrial powertrain supplier. It was during this time Sergio was tapped to spearhead this transformation as the Sales leader, developing commercial relationships with numerous key clients and bolstering the BFG market share. He says the past 14 years have been the most rewarding as he deepened his understanding of our key clientele and cultivated enduring relationships with many of them. When asked about the most interesting project in his 25+ years… Leading the project management of all the powertrain elements for the US Navy's radar station christened SBX-1. This project demanded substantial personal investment of time, yet it proved to be extremely rewarding. The Sea-Based radar system stands as a testament to the technological prowess of our armed services.   Spanning over a quarter of a century, “My journey with Brad Foote Gearing has been a testament to its enduring evolution and growth. Terry was “Bourne” to think big at Brad Foote! As we celebrate our 100th anniversary, we want to highlight Pittsburgh employee… Terry Bourne, who has been with the company for half of that time. Like any 21-year old, Terry was looking for a job that would pay better than his current one when he landed a machinist role at Pittsburgh Gear. Who knew he would still be here 50 years later!   Over the years Terry has been involved in a lot of projects - machining, inspecting, drawings for reverse engineering and developing tooling. His favorite work today is re-machining an old gear house. Typically, there are no prints and the part might be older than him. It’s like a satisfying puzzle.   Terry loves woodworking, cooking, grilling and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
