Did you know that 25% of our planet's species live underground? Or that underground ecosystems story 75% of all terrestrial carbon? For too long, the critical role of the Fungi kingdom on Earth has not been appreciated. SPUN | Society for the Protection of Underground Networks is changing that. ReGen Ventures team members Mark Tercek and Rose Marcario sit on the board of this non-profit working with wonderful researchers like Toby Kiers and Merlin Sheldrake to map and understand the world's underground networks. Mark recently interviewed Merlin (author of the fascinating book Entangled Life) on his blog, and it's definitely worth reading as a primer into how Fungi could help us regenerate our planet. For some practical examples of how this might work, check out meati™ and Rhizocore Technologies! https://lnkd.in/gh2fEYSf
