Die Macherinnen Katja Anclam und Annette Gräfin von Wedel nutzen Design Thinking Prinzipien wie Kollaboration, Empathie und Iteration und haben einen komplett operationalisierbaren, transparenten, diversitätssensiblen Prozess zur Einführung von algorithmischen Entscheidungssystemen und KI in Unternehmen gebaut. Sein Herzstück, das "Panel der Vielfalt", ist ein Team das die unterschiedlichen Perspektiven der Menschen im Unternehmen zusammenbringt, um sowohl die potentiellen Probleme als auch die Chancen der Software frühzeitig zu erkennen und für die Software-Entwicklung zu artikulieren. So entsteht Partizipation bei der Kreation von KI, die Diversität fördert. female.vision gehört zu den Initiatorinnen des BMAS Forschungsprojektes "#KIDD - Künstliche Intelligenz im Dienste der Diversität". Military Design Thinking is spreading - what a promising movement. One thing is for sure: it needs people like you, Miriam Luckhardt who do not stop at the talking-agenda, but get their minds focused and they hands dirty in making things happen. Looking forward to your project work results and even more to the implementation:-).

How to apply the Design Thinking strategies that you just learned on a real -life challenge - yet in a safe space? You start with working on a challenge that is not your own project, and that still requires serious work for valuable solutions.  In this spring´s Professional Track, we could win the Start-Up Futures Probes as project partner. Futures Probes offers innovative foresight services and belongs to the new generation of creative consultancies that consequently integrate human centricity, collaboration and experimenting forward into their business model. “It's a great opportunity to gain a variety of different professional perspectives from outside our client base and test our business ideas.”, says Lilith Boettcher, one of the 4 founding members. “Re-designing the Future-Competence-Experience”, this is the task that the Professional Track participants will work on within the next 3 months. It is derived from the portfolio development plans of the start-up founders who are very excited about the solutions that will be developed by the cohort. Co-founder Katrina Günther points out the opportunity she sees: “We may end up with some new creative ideas for how to amp up our work or how to reach new potential customers!”. In a first step, the practitioners jumped into the classical design thinking OBSERVE – phase, and conducted interviews to collect inspirational data about needs and motivations in the field of future-competence development.  After the interviews, the coach-team is d´accord: their teams did a “very good job!”. Schönau.  And thank you to all the volunteers like Annette Gräfin von Wedel (female.vision), Katharina Bruns (soulbottles • soulproducts GmbH), Robin Mehra (HPI Academy), Leon Rasztar, @Anne Schumann, Johannes Wirz and Luca Bogoni (Ellery Studio) for investing the time and serving as “training” subjects for the cohort at the HPI Academy.

You were the most impressive cohort that went through this program, dear Bastian Matz: with immediate translation of tools and strategies into your transformation roadmaps, new governance structures and cultural values that you decided to grow by role-modeling. Looking forward to our wrap-up. Keep on daring:-).

Creative Confidence at scale: How to grow female daring in transformation. Last week I was surprised by an invitation to a fashion week event which turned out to be one of the most inspirational, smart and fun accelerator of female leadership in Berlin. The recipe is well-known amongst design thinkers: take an enabling actor for the feasibility - in that case a popular fashion designer. Then build on an overall desirable need – this night it was all about female entrepreneurship and value-sensitive digital technology. Finally, make sure that diverse perspectives can freely mix and match. Et voilà: new business opportunities were discussed, new projects were started, mutual supporting activities were brainstormed, and in between bubbly drinks, live music and glamourous clothes, the confidence of re-designing the world got a lighthearted push that one needs to dare.  The stage was offered by the multiple-award-winning designer Anja Gockel, one of the first fashion brands who would put sustainability at the core of her creations. She used her fashion show at the Adlon Hotel to introduce female start-up founders and innovators to a broad audience. Doing so, she presented the Swimsuit start-up LIN VA PAI with its founders S. Tara Paighambari and Cathrin Lindacher as well the Equality-AI focused think tank female.vision with Katja Anclam and Annette Gräfin von Wedel to the guests of her show.  Later, in her atelier space, which Anja shares as of late with the female.vision #leadership #technology #design #sustainability #entrepreneurship team, an easy-going party brought together actors working in design, art and the film industry, foundations and other organizations, as well as start-ups and consultancies. This is how a fertile ground was created, that for sure will further fuel female creative confidence in starting up new things that matter. Hope to see more of these “Salons d´Entrepreneuses” soon.
