Christie's announced their next Art + Tech Summit in New York in July. I vividly remember the first Art + Tech Summit in London in 2018 where I picked up a give-away NFT - a so-called "Lost Robbie", which was thrown away by most attendees. This NFT is probably worth half a million $ now and is certainly the most valuable NFT I received at any event I have ever attended. When regular early-bird tickets are starting at 1500 US$ and VIP dinner tickets are at 10'000 US$ I am expecting that either speakers like Mark Zuckerberg or Jeff Bezos will show up at the conference or Robbie Barrat is going to create a NFT again for the conference. https://lnkd.in/eZkbisSz

Bright Moments started in summer 2021 and came to an end yesterday. It is probably one of the best curated IRL minting experience in Web3 culture combined with great events and an amazing community. It started in Venice beach and travelled to nine cities around the world such as Tokyo, London, Paris and Mexico City. In each city there were 1000 Crypto Citizens available to mint, incl. 1000 Crypto Galacticans, in total 10'000 PFPs. The last venue took place in Venice in Italy and the last NFT was minted by Erick Calderon, the founder of Artblocks. Over 60 artists contributed to this spectacular live minting experience. Outland's chief-editor Brian Droitcour has interviewed Seth Goldstein, the founder of Bright Moments. We will miss these Bright Moments and look back to an era that will probably make it to the digital art history books, covering most of the relevant generative artists around the world. https://lnkd.in/dB3Uid47

Swiss artist Christoph Büchel is back at the Fondazione La Biennale di Venezia with a large scale installation occupying the Fondazione Prada. The show called "Monte di Pieta" refers to an old pawnbroker institution from the late Middle Ages which lent small credits to poor people. The artist also addresses the topic of NFTs and included Mitchell F. Chan's early crypto art project "Digital Zones of Immaterial Pictorial Sensibility" while the original certificates by Yves Klein which this art work refers can also be found in the show. Büchel created his own crypto currency "Schei" which refers to "Scheide Münze" an old Venetian penny of low value. Schei can also be read as shit-coin. The show is a treasure hunt and those who spend their time to look at everything very carefully will find an original painting by Titian, works by Marcel Duchamp and Andy Warhol. The exhibition is definitely worth seeing and probably the best show at the whole Biennale in Venice this year. https://lnkd.in/eSP8YXwC

The floor price of Bored Ape Yacht Club has been falling continuously and is currently at 35,000 $. I remember those times when a floor Ape was as expensive as a Lambo.
