From October 20th to 24th 2023 Derap attended the Monorailex 2023 in São Paulo organized by the International Monorail Association (IMA). This exhibition brought together experts from the monorail industry. Two days focused on highly engaging technical presentations that provided us with deep insights into the latest developments and innovations in monorail technology. The last two days, we had the opportunity to visit the operating Line 15 and get a glimpse of the under-construction Line 17. This hands-on experience was incredibly instructive, showing us how monorail systems operate in the real world and how they can improve efficiency of transportation and therefor the quality of life in the areas they serve. Monorailex 2023 was a remarkable event that has supplied us with new ideas and inspiration. We are excited to integrate what we've learned into our work and contribute to the future of the monorail industry. Thanks to the International Monorail Association (IMA), Metrô de São Paulo and all involved for this fantastic opportunity! 🚝🌆 #Monorailex2023 #Monorail #SãoPaulo #TransportationTech #IMAEvent

Last week Mr Takamasa Suzuki, from UIC - International union of railways #UICrail#UICrail, made a presentation during the World Passenger Festival in Vienna, focusing on enhancing the #customerexperience. Mr Suzuki’s presentation titled ‘Station as a hub of a city: a vision of the stations of the future’ allowed him to delve into the objectives and achievements of our new #EU_Rail project #RAIL4CITIES. Stations are no longer just transit points. They are crucial urban hubs that play a multifaceted role in our cities. They must therefore: ✅ Be sustainable and resilient for long-term service. ✅ Stay flexible and up-to-date to adapt to evolving needs and society. Stations are not just essential components of rail service but also vital city hubs in many aspects. The role of stations is constantly evolving, often undefined, uncertain, and unpredictable. To ensure stations function effectively as urban hubs, it is imperative to meet these objectives, Mr Suzuki highlighted. ℹ️ https://rail4cities.eu/ --------- Groupe SNCF Wabtec Corporation Knorr-Bremse AG Hitachi Rail Siemens Mobility Deutsche Bahn eSGR European Smart Green Rail (CEMOSA COMSA Corporación ENYSE ETRA Tekniker) Alstom ADIF MERMEC AŽD CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles) Ceit Research Center ČD Cargo, a.s. Big news! We are proud to announce a new deal between Akila and the Monte-Carlo train station in Monaco. This marks the second project with Groupe SNCF following the delivery of a project at Marseille Saint-Charles station. Monaco is striving to be a pioneer in digital transition and sustainable development, implementing an ambitious goal to modernize all of its public transport. The digitalization of Monte-Carlo station with Akila is part of this process and a key milestone in the journey towards sustainable development. The Akila platform will provide monitoring, real-time tracking, and a 3D digitalization of the structure and equipment in the Digital Twin, as well as operational tools in the Asset and Energy SUITES. What once were siloed systems are now all integrated into the Akila Platform, streamlining operations and improving efficiency. With all systems and data integrated into a centralized location, Akila can provide highly accurate measurements of the station’s carbon footprint and set baselines for energy consumption and performance. With the deployment of Akila, Monaco will have one of the most digitalized railway stations in Europe, gaining value for station operators and, ultimately, the passengers.
