Recently we had to work with a new vendor in terms of getting a work done. Since it was a new area and I was completely unaware of the same, the ability of conversation and communication that I had with the person created the "first impression" effectively and even when I have multiple changes/edits coming up for the same work that I asked for, they are doing it happily with no fuss. So, is "First impression" important for anyone? ⬆ People often form #impressions of others within seconds of meeting them. These initial judgments can influence how individuals are perceived in terms of #trustworthiness, likability, #competence, and attractiveness. ⬆#firstimpressions can shape subsequent interactions through the lens of confirmation bias. Once formed, people tend to seek out information that confirms their initial impression and disregard contradictory evidence. ⬆They are sticky and difficult to change, especially if they are negative. Even if subsequent interactions contradict the initial impression, it may take considerable effort to alter someone's perception. ⬆In professional settings, #firstimpressions can impact job interviews, client meetings, and networking #opportunities.
