Very happy to announce that our first paper on 'Eggshell: Ultra-thin 3D printed formwork' has made it to the cover of the April issue of 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing (3DP+)! The paper describes the concept of the Eggshell process, as well as some of the small- and large scale protototypes made over the last 2 years. The image on the cover is of the Future Tree, a project we completed last October that features a reinforced concrete column made with a 1.5mm thin formwork. The paper is available Open Access: https://lnkd.in/gff4Vkd Joris Burger, Ena Lloret-Fritschi, Fabio Scotto, Thibault Demoulin, Lukas Gebhard, Jaime Mata-Falcón, Fabio Gramazio, Matthias Kohler, and Robert Flatt.
