#GlaesernesLabor25

Quantum computing is at the forefront of technological progress. At Science on Stage Deutschland e.V., we're happy to announce our latest project "Quantum Computing in STEM Education", which aims to create hands-on teaching materials for STEM lessons at school. Last weekend, the first project meeting took place in Berlin. 20 #STEM teachers from 15 European countries came together to form working groups and agree on topics. We are excited about the upcoming development phase and look forward to sharing more details with you soon! We would like to thank the Wilhelm und Else Heraeus Foundation for supporting this project. Dies motiviert uns, weitere Projekte in diesem Bereich umzusetzen: https://lnkd.in/eaPfXywJ #BildungFürNachhaltigeEntwicklung #MINT #MINTBildung #NachhaltigeBildung #Auszeichnung #Umweltbildung #BildungAusgezeichnet #BNE2030 #ESDfor2030 #LearnForOurPlanet #SDG4

The past year has been exciting for Science on Stage Europe e.V. and our 35 member countries, marked by national festivals to select delegations for the upcoming European Science on Stage festival in Finland. Countries organized training courses, inspired students in events such as the Future League (thanks to Science on Stage Deutschland e.V. and SAP), and developed innovative #STEM projects together. I'm grateful for the dedicated teachers in our network who passionately support our teaching-focused mission. Thanks to all! Special thanks to our main supporter Arbeitgeberverband Gesamtmetall and our partners Amazon Future Engineer and Vernier Science Education for helping us improve STEM education across Europe. Before we enter 2024, take a moment to revisit the past year's highlights in this video: https://lnkd.in/dvHj_t4A Wishing you and your families happy holidays and a great start to the New Year. #STEMEducation #YearInReview #2023Highlights #EducationMatters #ThankYouTeachers

Today Science on Stage was invited to be a part of the sixth European #Education Summit in Brussels, the annual flagship event of the #EuropeanEducationArea (#EEA). Besides the opportunity to present our network at a stand, we also connected with education ministers from different countries. Education is an investment – this has been mentioned several times. On the panel, they shared best practices on how to address the teacher shortage and make the profession more attractive. It is an exciting day, and it was a great opportunity to talk to Iliana Ivanova, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, and to Pia Ahrenkilde Hansen, Director-General, DG EAC, as well as to invite both to our European Science on Stage festival in Finland next year. #EduSummitEU #EducationChange #Digitalisation #DigitalEducation #skills #STEMed #STEMeducation

How can we bring #sustainability into the classrooms? At today’s final of our Europe-wide competition Future League, organised by Science on Stage Deutschland e.V. , ten teacher-student teams presented answers to that question. It was a pleasure welcoming the teams from Italy, Türkiye, Georgia, Germany, France, Poland, Croatia, and Greece in Berlin and seeing their creative teaching projects live on stage. I was truly impressed by the wealth of innovation presented, all concepts were a testament to the incredible potential of students and teachers to drive positive change through #STEM education. I want to thank all the guests joining today, as well as the host of the event, Kulvinder Kaur Johal FCCT CSciTeach FRSA, and the jury. Thank you also to SAP and Gabriele Hartmann for supporting the Future League and the long-standing partnership.
