"The Last Slide" is the most important part: Proposals, like Reading are about Comprehension!

The definition of the word "read" is - to look at and COMPREHEND the meaning of written or printed matter by mentally interpreting the words of which it is composed.

When we teach children to read the first step is to make sure they know what the words are and the next step is to have them prove back to us that they understand the story.

The same should be true when we make presentations to our clients. The person making the presentation has spent far more time with the material than the person being presented to, so regular check ins during the presentation to make sure that the content is being received the way it was intended are important.

The MOST IMPORTANT slide of the presentation is the final slide of the presentation.

Typically, this slide gets the most screen time of any slide in your deck. Many times I see this slide say something like "Thank You" or "Questions", sometimes it references "Next Steps".

Each of these endings prove to be a lost opportunity.

Delivering meaningful impact on the final slide of a presentation is all about using the final slide as an avenue toward telling the client what to comprehend about your presentation.

Being the presenter has given you the power to be in control of the conversations direction, use the power of "The End" in your favor by making sure that it reinforces what you want the client to do or believe!
