The Klang Valley Explained!

The Klang Valley is a geographical area from Rawang, north of Kuala Lumpur to Sepang in the south, and bordering the Titiwangsa Mountain Range in the east to Port Klang in the west. Its borders on Port Klang side is off the Straits of Malacca (or Melaka), one of the busiest waters connecting the Far East to the rest of the world. 

Also known as Lembah Kelang, this valley is the river basin of Klang River (or Sungai Kelang) that flows from the Titiwangsa Mountains Range down to Klang town (namesake of the valley and the river) and into the Straits of Malacca.

Located literally in the centre of The Klang Valley; where the Gombak River meets the Klang River, is Kuala Lumpur city. 

It can be said that The Klang Valley encompasses the heartland of Malaysia's financial centre, modern industries and one of the fastest growing metropolitan regions in Southeast Asia.
