Obituary

Lisbon-

Nickolas G. Gizzi, 90, passed away at his home with family by his side on April 11, 2023 following a lengthy illness.

Nickolas was born June 5, 1932 in Beaver Falls, PA, son of the late James and Frances Trozzi Gizzi.

Nickolas was a graduate of Beaver Falls High School. He then proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War on the Aircraft Carrier Princeton, where his primary responsibility was working and maintaining the airplane catapult system.

He was a track official for over 50 years for high school and local college events. Nickolas also ran the hurdle crew at the state high school track events and served as an official for the Special Olympics. He was an avid water skier and also drove the boat and judged many waterski competitions. Later in life, Nickolas wintered in Florida for many years and also had a home in Chester, WV.

Nickolas is survived by three daughters, Michelle (Jeff) Foster of Lisbon, Christina (Steve) Dudukovich of North Fayette, PA, Mary (Jeff) Webster of Raccoon Twp., PA; two sisters, Norma Pavlinch and Felicia (David) Cleaver as well as five grandchildren, Joshua and Katrina Dudukovich and Nicole, Olivia and Gabby Webster and his significant other, Rhoda McWilliams.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy in 2005.

A private burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in East Palestine, following Nickolas’ wishes, no other services will be observed.
