The Umlauts release their new album on October 13th.
The Umlauts have posted Mad Blue Love online ahead of the arrival of their first full length record, Slags.
New material will be sitting on the album along side select cuts from the band’s Ü (2021) and Another Fact (2022) EPs, and Mad Blue Love has been described as a song, ‘about a failed quest for meaningful engagement with people’:
It addresses the occasional loss of ones character in order to become part of a narrative in which one lives in a symbiotic state with another person. This song speaks of a falling out of love before ever having been in love – the realisation that attraction often comes from an expectation towards somebody rather than a sincere emotion.
A UK tour is due to quickly follow the LP’s release, opening on October 18th at Hope And Ruin in Brighton.
