Fordson and Dearborn High headed to Howell on Saturday for the Kensington Lakes Activities Association Meet.

For the day, the Tractors (85) finished eighth out 16 total teams and Dearborn (65) wrapped up in 11th place.

The KLAA Meet champion for this year was Hartland 331.50 and the Eagles were followed by Brighton (170.50) in second and Westland John Glenn (163) in third.

Fordson was led by heavyweight Mohammed Hazime, who advanced to the first-place match and ultimately wrapped up the day as runner up.

The Tractors had three grapplers compete in a third-place match. Dheye Algalham (140) was victorious while Kassem Ali (125) and Ali Jaafer (171) both came away with a fourth-place finish.

In addition, a trio of Fordson wrestlers closed out the day in sixth place: Moheib Hussein (103), Hassn Shajra (112) and Ghaith Algorbani (119).

Dearborn was led by Jonathan Best (171), who finished in third place for the day. Mohamed Hossein (152) and Ethan Rosbury (160) both took fourth place for the Pioneers and Cameron Smalley (285) closed out the day in fifth place.

With the regular season now wrapped up, teams will head into the district round of the state tournament.

Fordson will head to Crestwood for Division 1 team districts on Wednesday. The Tractors will take on the host Chargers in a semifinal and the winner of that match will face Livonia Franklin for the district championship.

Dearborn will serve as a host for a D1 team district on Wednesday. The Pioneers have a bye in the semifinals and they will take on either Edsel Ford or Lincoln Park for the championship.

On Saturday, Fordson will be at Catholic Central for D1 individual districts and Dearborn will head to Westland John Glenn.
