Kornit Digital aims for $1 billion in sales with new ink plant

Kornit Digital's new plant should be able to meet the ink demand of the next 10 years.

Kornit Digital, the manufacturer specializing in digital textile printing technologies, inaugurated its new ink manufacturing plant in Kiryat Gat, Israel on January 26. The Nasdaq-listed Israeli group, which employs 1,000 people, invested 25 million euros to build this site, which replaces the old ink plant.

Equipped "advanced automation, sophisticated workflows and innovative technologies for production optimization" the new 11,000 m 2 is expected to meet the global demand for consumables for the next ten years.

It took three years to complete this project. "This is a key milestone in our journey to become a US$1 billion business by 2026, and will ensure that for many years to come we can support the tremendous growth our customers are experiencing." said Ronen Samuel, CEO of Kornit Digital. "We're proud to be setting an example of a cleaner, more responsive textile industry, while at the same time we continue to transform the operating system to create sustainable fashion and textiles on demand."
