A set of eleven porcelain comports, the green borders with six reserves painted with either fruit, flowers, birds or butterflies, tooled gilt foliate scrolls with floral sprays between; resting on three up-turned gilt cornucopiae on a parcel gilt triangular base with paw feet.
Provenance
Part of a dessert service ordered by Queen Victoria from Bloor Derby. The service was exhibited in 1842 during Christmas week; the Derby Mercury reported 'a splendid Dessert Service, ordered by Her Majesty, may be seen in Mr. Bloor's warehouse, 34 Old Bond Street'
