having known about, but never seeing the original, i unknowingly watched this thinking it was a re-release. kept waiting for the twist... but was in such complete overwhelm, i only realised something was up once the credits started rolling. this movie is brutal. wish i'd seen the original, but at the same time, i don't think i will. forwards or backwards, one time is probably too much
