In my artwork I merge the sea with the sky and invite the viewer to question the boundaries of reality. The door, a symbol of unknown possibilities, stands isolated in the vast blue - it opens to a world of dreams and hopes. Created in oil, it illustrates the surrealist approach and draws the mind into a peaceful yet pensive mood. It is an invitation to have the courage to step into the unknown and discover your personal potential.

The Romanian artist Dorél Dobocan, born in 1951, studied at the College of Fine Arts in Temeschburg (Romania) from 1968 to 1973. His works are not only represented in public collections throughout Germany (Mainz, Wiesbaden, Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich), but also in prestigious museums across the globe: Museum of Modern Art in Bucharest, Rio de Janeiro, Baltimore, Paris, St. Petersburg, Akita and the Ringling Collection Florida.
