« The imagery doesn't need any words. If the viewer is left to his own devices without words, the picture becomes a mirror of his own personal imagination. »
Swiss draftsman Stefan Wepfer has been drawing ever since he was able to hold a pen. Wepfer creates using a process of free and spontaneous association- the first image will inspire the next, and the combination of the first two images inspires the third. Wepfer employs charcoal and graphite on paper to explore and visually transpose the transitions between reality and dreams. Wepfer's grey scale surrealist drawings are dazzlingly rendered in stunning photographic realism.
