Gaswerk Wädenswil was born with the idea of setting a new standard for climbing halls with record-breaking dimensions: more than 6,000 square metres of walls designed for climbing enthusiasts.

The climbing hall not only excels in terms of size, but also in terms of the attention that has been paid to the design of the climbing spaces, in order to maximise the use of space and at the same time make the experience enjoyable for climbers of all levels, from beginners to champions.

The building was built using prefabricated reinforced concrete elements and steel structures.
The main hall has a floor plan of 38×20 m and a height of 17 m. There are 2470 square metres of climbing walls for all specialities and levels of practice, from vertical walls to large overhangs of up to 10 metres, and approved walls for speed climbing.
There are 95 climbing lines.

In the centre of the main hall, the tower supporting the large overhangs is equipped inside with the “dry” training area and another 400 m2 climbing hall that can be climbed up to 10 m high.Next to it and directly connected, although in a dedicated room, is the bouldering hall. The climbing walls, up to 4 metres high, are distributed over two levels and it is possible to climb from one to the other.

In addition, the outer walls of the building were equipped with a length of over 100 m and a climbing surface of 1700 m2.
